Veena Malik declines to have patch-up with Mohammad Asif – Cricket News Update
The controversial Lollywood actress, Veena Malik, has blatantly snubbed a ceasefire call from the convicted and sentenced Pakistani cricketer, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Asif-c1993, claiming that she cannot turn the clock back despite having a soft corner for him.
Veena, who had been in an intimate bond with the pacer for more than a year, received a patch-up request last week from his boyfriend who was eager to see her before moving behind the bars. Reportedly, the silver screen star refused to fly to England and
relieve Asif from mental stress with her captivating smile.
According to Veena, she broke up with Asif after knowing his involvement in corrupt practices in 2008. She also claims to have admonished him to mend his ways and advance his cricket career smoothly.
Talking to the media today, Malik said, “It was a mutual friend from, London, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zahid-Ali-c98467 Saab, who called me on October 26 stating that Asif wanted to desperately see me, that he wanted reconciliation. I declined. How can I turn back the clock? Asif and I
shared a beautiful if stormy relationship. We were together until 2008 when I came to know about his match-fixing activities; I left him.”
However, the actress professes that she still has some hot feelings for his ex-boyfriend but she does not want to look back.
She told, “I can't deny I still have feelings for him. Relationships don't die. I've no hard feelings about any of my former boyfriends. My time with Asif was special. But I've moved on."
Veena-Asif love affair hit the media headlines just after one year of the speedster’s international debut in 2005. The couple enjoyed a blue time together but could not get in wedlock.
Unfortunately, Asif, who started out as an outstanding player, fell in bad hands later. He, along with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 Test match at Lord’s, in August 2010.
Following the confirmation of allegations, the International Cricket Council (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625) imposed bans on the trio. Now, a British Crown Court has sentenced one year of imprisonment to Asif.
The 28-year-old played 23 Test, 38 ODI and 11 T20I matches before being suspended.
