  1. A vegan is a person who eats no meat or any animal product like cheese, ice cream... also they wont wear fur coats or any clothing made from animal skin or fur.

A vegetarian can be many different things. None eat meat such as veal but some eat fish and/or eggs. Vegetarians will also eat animal products and wear fur coats...

    hope this helped! :)

  2. A vegan is a person that does not eat or wear anything that comes from an animal. (Cheese, milk, leather, etc.) And they do not eat meat.

A vegetarian does not eat meat, but still eats things like the cheese and milk.

And you can only really be one or the other. Unless you are a vegan. Vegetarianism comes with that.

  3. Vegans don't eat animal products (including milk, eggs, and butter..etc). Vegetarians don't eat meat.

Yes, you can be both. You can be a vegan and a vegetarian because a vegan is a class of vegetarian. However, it is possible to be a vegetarian and not a vegan if you still drink milk and eat cheese and eggs.

  4. There are multiple "kinds" of vegetarianism in which they allow themselves to eat only the following:

OVO-VEGETARIAN: Vegetables, fruits, grains and eggs

LACTO-VEGETARIAN: Vegetables, fruits, grains and dairy products. This means milk, cheese, yogurt and butter.

LACTO-OVO-VEGETARIAN: Vegetables, fruits, grains, eggs and dairy products. So, basically anything except actual meat, chicken or fish.

OCCASIONAL VEGETARIAN: You might include chicken and/or fish in your diet (in addition to vegetables grains, eggs and dairy products), or simply indulge in the occasional burger without feeling too guilty about it

I personally only think there is one type of vegetarian, and that is someone who doesn't eat meat but can have dairy products.  Vegans:

VEGAN: Vegetables, fruits and grains only. That's it, nothing that has ever had anything to do with any sort of living creature. Not even honey.

  5. A Vegetarian doesn't eat any meat or fish.  If you are a pescetarian then you eat fish.  A Vegan is a Vegetarian who also doesn't consume any dairy or eggs.

  6. A vegan is basically a vegetarian who eats plant products only, and they use no products derived from animals (such as chicken, fish, beef), fur or leather. And no, milk(unless soy), cheese, butter..ext...

And a vegetarian is someone who does not eat meat of fish.

So, the diference is one eats other animal products(vegetarian) but not meat, and one doesnt eat meat or eat animal products(vegan)

So, if you were a vegan, you could also call yourself a vegetarian, but if you were a vegatarian, you couldnt call yourself a vegan.

  7. all vegans are vegitarians

    vegitarians are not vegans

vegitarians may consume milk and egg product

vegans will not have any food that exploits animals or uses animal products

  8. Vegans are a subset of vegetarians.

Vegetarians don't eat foods that animals died for (meat, slaughter byproducts.)

Vegans don't eat any foods of animal origin, regardless of whether or not the animal died for it (meat, slaughter byproducts, dairy, eggs, honey.

Some vegetarians avoid leather and consumer products that are made from animal ingredients or animal testing, but some consider it a dietary choice only.  By definition, though, veganism extends beyond diet to lifestyle.  We don't wear any animal fabrics and, to the extent that it's possible, we don't purchase or use consumer goods made from animal ingredients.  We also avoid industries that exploit animals for entertainment, like circuses and rodeos.

  9. Vegans do not consume any animal or animal by-products.

They also do no use products (shampoo, body wash, cleaner etc) that include animal, and avoid companies that test on animals. Also do not wear anything that came from an animal.

  10. vegetarian - no flesh (pork, cow, rabbit etc)

vegan - no diary, no bug juice, NO ANYTHING THAT HAS ANIMALS!

    vegans are vegetarians

    vegetarians aren't vegans

  11. I think vegetarianism is an easy to follow and healthy way to live. All you have to focus on is not eating meat. Vegans have it hard. They have to scan the ingredients on a lot of things to make sure it contains nothing that comes from an animal. Seems stressful. Vegans have to drink a lot of soy and eat a lot of beans and nuts while vegetarians have an easier rought and get to eat live culture yogurt, cheese, eggs, soy, beans, and nuts to get protein. It's hard not to get enough nutrients with a vegetarian diets.

  12. Vegetarian: No meat or fish

Vegan:No meat, fish, dairy, or any products made from animals.
