  1. They barbecue a bullock and dance around the fire.  Or is that the pagans?

  2. Smelly

  3. The festivals have been on this year already. London looks like the last one this year. They are great and are attended by meat and non meat eaters. You can get some whacky characters and religious nuts tagging themselves to the cause. I am pleasantly surprised by the amount of teens that attend the fests. You will enjoy it

  4. freak shows

  5. just like the food

    very bland

  6. Yes, go and have fun. I've been to others, not that one (they happen all over but are a bit hard to find listed in one place that isn't outdated info). They are fun and informative. The first one we had no idea what we were doing and no idea what we were seeing. The next one we went for the food samples and did learn a lot but this last time we went for the talks and workshops and I'm so glad I bothered. They were so good and the best part of the festival. I can hardly wait till the next one. So nice to come out of the fog of the standard advertising.

Check out the website to figure out what you really, really want to do, what you might like to do and what you could do if there is nothing else scheduled at the time and make a day of it. Go early to check out the food and stuff since it will get really busy later and you can spend that time getting familiar with where everything is so you can go from talk or demonstration to the next quickly for the best seats especially after it does get crowded.

And it is fun with a friend or family member but still well worth going alone too. Bring pens and paper so you can take notes and a comfortable big bag for putting samples and literature in.

  7. Is it the one in Kensington Town Hall? If it is, I have to say that I find it a bit disappointing. Some of  the food is nice but some is bland, and I cook better food myself at home. I think it is worth going, because you can get some good ideas from it, some interesting leaflets/booklets and details of some vegan food products. You can also buy vegan shoes and other vegan products. If you go earlier so that you can stay for a couple of hours and then go shopping or do something else that you enjoy, then it can be a good day out. Or go for a drink or a meal after.
