  1. hey breast milk is the only way people fed their ofspring years ago ,if the mom could not then usually goats milk was used.hey im old and still like the breast.

  2. Of course vegan mothers breastfeed. What possible reason could there be for them not to? Breast milk is intended for the human infant and there is no cruelty or exploitation involved.

The only vegan mother I know who didn't breastfeed was unable to, much to her regret.

  3. noooooooo...? why would it be?

  4. LOL!!!! i never thought of that before ..lol...

  5. I'm not sure about this question, are you asking it for comic effect ?

surely you cannot be that genuinely nieve ?

Of course vegans think its OK to breast feed. Human milk has one use: to feed human babies with hugh nutritianal food before they can take solid food. it also aides in the creating the bond between mother and child.

Guess what, a cows milk is for exactly the same purpose...but for calves..

  6. Breast milk is not an animal product.

  7. Yes, Mama feed babies, makes good sense.

  8. I'm a vegan and I breastfeed my baby.  I think it's sort of **ignorant** to compare a human being feeding their child to consuming milk from a different species.....sorry.

  9. Cows give milk to their baby calves to nurture them; Cats give milk to their baby kittens to nurture them; Human mothers give milk to their babies to nurture them. But eventually the baby weans from its mother because it no longer needs the nourishment that milk provides; and because the baby feels ready (emotionally, too) to wean.

But humans, up to the age of 80+, for some odd reason, continue to drink & eat the c**p that the milk industry feeds them (mammary secretions from a cow whose face you will never see). It's very easy to walk to your grocery store and buy the milk that is nicely packaged or inside a baggy --but do you really know what the h**l you are buying?

  10. Of course.

I don't drink milk because I don't approve of how the cows are treated to obtain it, and because it really is gross and unhealthy for humans.

To deny a baby breast milk is cruel, as it will likely suffer from not obtaining the nutrients found in breast milk.

Also, I'm pretty sure no mother is forced to breast feed her child. =)

  11. Yup, I do breast feed baby.  It's the best thing for her to eat.  Not to mention just about the only thing.  It's either breast mik or formula.  Although, I am not a vegan because I care about animals per se....more so because it is a healthier way of life.  I am not one to say, oh but the cow's feelings...

  12. a child can only have milk so better give him breastmilk than cow/goat milk

  13. Breastfeeding is considered vegan. The mother is consentually giving her milk, and human breatmilk is intended for human babies.

We adopted both of our children, and breastfeeding was not an opion, so we used a soy based formula (recommended by our doctor) but as a vegan I would have had no problem with breastfeeding.
