Question:

Vegans: What do we eat @ theme parks, where we aren't allowed to carry our own food?

Going to a Six Flags park from 10 in the morning to 10 at night... that is 12 hours! They don't let us carry any food into the park, not even water. And as well all know, most places will serve fast food, such as pizza, hot dogs. I checked the park's website and they serve pasta in one Italian "restaurant"... maybe that's vegan if prepared a special way? Anyone know?

  1. Call the Park to see if they do or can do Vegan meals. My daughter has gotten them in many such places.

    OR

Pack your cooler in your car & at meal time go out to picnic.. if fact if your whole crew will do it they'll all save money & their health too.

  2. You can make specifications when you order. they make special arrangements for medical conditions so you can do the same.

I thought die hard vegans should not or don't go to theme parks because the site used to be natural habitat for animals and they were cruelly bulldozed and banished from their homes.

  3. yeah you sneak it in :p

  4. Bring things such as Larabars, ClifBars, and SmartMonkey Bars. They are enclosed, small and easy to put in a pocket, purse, backpack and not a sandwich type food. They also don't need refrigeration and if you don't eat them they can be eaten some other day but they are healthy and also good for many people who have special diets/allergies.

If they give you grief over those you can say that you are a diabetic with several allergies and you are pretty sure you won't be able to find suitable food in their restaurants.

However, you should be able to find fruit, corn-on-the-cob, maybe some salads, maybe bread/bagels, pretzels, maybe Chinese food, and of course the ubiquitous fries.

Make sure you eat well before you go and have something ready to eat when you have left.

  5. you sneak food in! i never listen to them. the prices are ridiculous i always sneak some food in.

  6. i would say to pack a cooler with your food in it and keep it in your car... you are allowed to get your hand stamped and return so go to the car eat and go back in... also maybe pack a back pack with 2 or 3 frozen bottles of water... try this and have fun...

  7. salads with vinegar, oil and seeds.
