Hello. I'm vegan. Lately i've been super busy and have been living off french fries. I don't feel so good, obviously. I feel really weak and gross. I don't like to eat how i've been eating but it's so easy to do. Anyway, I'm about to go to the store and I want to eat some thing healthy, something that will make me feel better. What would you eat if you were me?

No rude responses please. XOXO.

  1. I would head straight to the produce section of the store and hang out there until my basket was 3/4 full.

It sounds like you have a busy schedule and you need foods that can be easily and quickly eaten. Bananas, apples and baby carrots are great in that capacity.

If you want something a bit juicier, you could always eat plums, pears, grapes or oranges. Try to find some trail mix - a healthy version, of course. Seek something with nuts, raisins, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, etc. (steer clear from the kind that has the processed additions).

Now that the snacking is taken care of, I'd move onto meal-type foods that will help make the body feel good. Quinoa is a great grain to make a meal around. Brown rice is a good choice as well. Tofu is a great source of protein and I would definitely pick up that and one of the aforementioned grains.

    Good luck!

  2. Get a lot of produce and make stir fry veggies.   Also make whole grain good rice.   It is so fast!   Use liquid aminos and cooking wine and/or olive oil.   Put the stir fry on top of the rice.

  3. Maybe a nice salad with your favorite veggies and some nuts and sunflower seeds.  And some yummy juice, like pomegranate juice.

  4. Green veggies! Purple veggies! Red veggies! Orange veggies! Unite them into something tasty, or eat them raw. Your body needs them really badly right now. How about a veggie stir fry over quinoa?

  5. There's this hot cereal called Red River that is amazing, and ready in five minutes.

Make it and throw in a bit of brown sugar, you will love it.

I'm on a tight schedule also and I've found it really easy to make a big batch of soup once a week and just living off of that and bread for the majority of the next seven days.

Also, you need to be sure you're getting your vitamins.

Something like OneADay is great if you're frequently ditching actual meals, but if not all you really need is B12 and iron.

Be sure you drink that soy milk!

  6. Instead of french fries make some homemade chips but instead of using of potatoes use Peanutbutter Squash (cant remember the other name for it, a lot easier on your stomach (& waist).

  7. a nice salad with some nice vinagrette dressing would be my choice. you can always put some nuts or tofu in it, yummmmm!

  8. Oh, I'd start by drinking lots of water.

    Then eat lots of fruit.

    How shower...

Get all that grease out of there...

Easy to digest foods -- raw foods.

    Fresh juices.

    Yup...

  9. VITAMIN B12!!!!!!!!

LOTS OF PROTEIN: NUTS, BEANS, TOFU, ETC.

    SPINACH(FOR IRON)

  10. i would make a simple vegetable soup. always fills me up without making me feel gross. just let chop up your favorite vegetables (i always have carrots, peas, celery, and green beans) simmer in some vegetable broth for a while. and adding some black pepper and cuman is really good.

it's so simple, hardy and comforting, you'll feel better instantly! =]
