Vegas Pro/Camcorder Qs?

Question

I just got the Sony DCR-SR45 Camcorder and it is awesome.

I used my USB to put one of my clips to the computer.

The videos were in MPEG video format. The videos for some

reason only work with WMP and not QT. So I put the clip in

Sony Vegas Pro. The video showed up great but there was no audio

to the movie. Is there a way to fix this?

I would also like to know how to make a clip in vegas louder or quieter.
