Question:

Vegetable Oil Gas Stations?

Hi, I live in Atlanta, Georgia and I am trying to find gas stations that provide vegetable oil as fuel for a diesel car.

I tried Google searching it but it is not as easy as I thought. Does anybody know of any gas stations in Atlanta or a website that hosts the locations of gas stations that offer this service?

Thanks!

  1. Here is a link that lists Biodiesel stations in Georgia

    http://www.biodiesel.org/buyingbiodiesel...

  2. Try local restaurants...they would give away free used oil...

  3. The don't provide vegetable oil...its bio-diesel which is a blend of diesel and vegetable oil. However, it is almost as expensive as regular diesel gas and the mixture only uses like 10% of the oil because they don't want to risk a law suit if the car has problems from it. So its a poor alternative really.

  4. Talk to McDonalds and get their tossed out oil, filter it, and add it 50/50 or so to your tank.

    I've done it many times.

  5. Most of these plants are just being built across the nation. I have not heard of any selling except to fleet and in small parts added to diesel. Europe is selling some. Not yet in USA.
