Vegetable glycerin and Glycerin?

Question

i was suppose to use this recipe for my lips

but i went out and brought a glycerin laxative that is use for medical purpose at the pharmacy . it was in solid form.

i was suppose to buy vegetable glycerin which is in liquid form.

do they work the same ?

but since the recipe ask for the liquid but i brought solid, how do i turn it into liquid form ?

i dont wanna throw away a waste of 4 bucks , what else can i use it for ?
