  1. you should mix fruits and vegtables..fruits cover the vegtable taste so they taste better.

  2. 6 lg. onions

    4 lg. green peppers

    1 lg. bunch celery

1/2 bushel (about 25 lbs.) tomatoes

    1/4 c. salt

    8 whole cloves

    2 bay leaves

    1 tsp. cayenne pepper

    2 tbsp. lemon juice

Peel and chop onions. Cut celery into half inch pieces, reserving leaves. Remove seeds from peppers and chop. Combine vegetables, add salt and let stand several hours or overnight.

Wash tomatoes and cut into quarters. Add celery leaves, bay leaves, cloves and cayenne pepper. Combine with first vegetable mixture. Heat until juice from tomatoes runs freely. Put through a food mill. Drain out all juice. Then press out about 1/2 of the pulp. Place juice, extracted pulp and lemon juice in a large kettle. Heat to boiling. Carefully ladle hot juice into hot jars, leaving 1/4 inch head space. Adjust caps. Process 45 minutes in a boiling water bath canner. Makes about 7 quarts

  3. I would drink it straight away, you can drink  your 5 a day fruit and veg this way.

I like to have one at snack times or when i feel the urge to eat, i eat regular meals but use this to keep me away from the 'naughty' foods.

Carrot and apple is my favourite.

    Carrot, Orange and apple.

    Tomato, with some celery

    Pineapple and orange

    Orange.

I really dont use veg in it i prefer to use veg to make soups for meal times.

  4. Vegetables juices on their own are often unpalatable. Try mixing fruit and vegetables. That way you get all the vitamins you need and something nice to drink. Our favourite is carrots, apples and oranges, Scrumptious. I would imagine that tomatoes and celery go well together. You could always add a few drops of tabasco with them, or perhaps some celery salt. I'm sure if you google for juices you will come up with loads of combinations.
