  1. you can use vo in a diesel engine.

the diesel engine was designed to run on vegetable oils originally.

after you buy a diesel, you need to:

install seperate tanks and fuel lines to your injector pump, as well as valves and filters.

when you want to start your car, you switch open the diesel valves and run it until it warms up.

when the motor is up to operating temp., you switch the valves to VO. drive your car.

when you get to your destination, you hop out switch the valves back to diesel and run it for 3 minutes to clean out the VO.

do your shopping. come back, and start the whole process over again.

it will void the warranty on a new car. and you may or may not have problems.

if you don't follow the procedure VERY time, you WILL ruin pumps and injectors.

8 injectors can run over 1K, plus install, and flushing/replacing clogged fuel lines.

  2. I don't think research on this has reached at an advanced stage .But there has been a good research and Trials on using Jathropha Plant extract mixed with Petrol as a Bio-Diesel fuel.

  3. Some vegatable oils get gummy and can clog filters and injectors in a diesel engine.

You need a car with a diesel engine and I would only use it in an old car that I didn't care if I had to junk it.

  4. I go to a fast food resturant to get their veggie oil, and I strain it of all the nasties.lol. Then I put it into the diesel truck, and it works great!

There is a converter you could buy, for the winter, that is if you don't keep the diesel inside of a warm garage, so that way the oil doesn't gum up and clog the fuel lines.

  5. --  got to be a DIESEL ENGINE.

--  probably voids the engine warranty.

--  i think there's some stuff you have to do.  you cannot just pour it in the tank.

--  where can you get vegetable oil for $3 a gallon?

--  if it's used oil, you have to filter it really well, in order for it not to clog up your engine -- which you have to pay for yourself, because you've messed up the warranty.

oh, and have a nice day.

  6. First off it has to be a diesel engine, and you don't have to do anything to the car. Mr. diesel they guy who invented diesel engines ran his on peanut oil, I also think he blew himself up.  straight vegtable oil will work but usually it is modified to make it a more suitable fuel.  The biggest drawback is that it becomes viscous in cold weather and needs to be heated up with some sort of tank heater in the winter,  It can also be added to regular diesel fuel.  Watch out for the taxman though, using oil as fuel without paying fuel taxes on it is considered tax evasion.

  7. There is a website that explains the whole thing, AND has the equipment available to buy!

It is converted into a bio-diesel fuel.

THIS requires that you have a diesel engine powered vehicle.
