Good evening,

I wanted to know if anybody knew any good rural or large wholesalers that sell vegetable seeds at cheap prices. I have my own garden growing a few varieties of carrot but their prices per seed are very expensive. I heard wholesalers sell them cheaper than retail but i cant find any online. I was wondering if anyone knew any wholesalers in the US that would be a good place to start searching for my vegetable (carrot) seeds for a decent price. I am located in upstate NY but would buy from anywhere in the US

  1. Have you checked the prices at Pinetree, Stokes, Burpee's or Park's wholesale divisions, etc.?   Seeds are not cheap to produce, so you may not want to go so far downmarket that you get the ones that barely pass federal standards, but do look for places that sell by the ounce.

Carrots, btw, don't store particularly well, so you may want new seed every year anyhow.

FWIW. I've used Pinetree and Stokes for years. http://www.superseeds.com

  2. check out feed store supply merchants they usually have bulk seeds and they should be cheaper............tom
