Vegetables/fruits garden?

i recently became a vegetarian on my way to become a vegan...i have a garden in my yard...i am 16....what type of fruits/vegetables would be good to grow in my new garden...anything that tastes really good...or any veggies that i can make good smoothies or juices with???

  1. Completely depends on where you live.  Go to the garden store and search through the seed packets for vegetables that are listed to do well in your area.

    Generally; corn, tomatoes, peppers, squash, eggplant, raddishes, and possibly lettuce do well for home gardeners.


  2. Just look up your Zone (your climate zone) for gardening, find out what you can grow in your zone, and start looking around for those such vegetables.

    Me, I like sunchokes, different kales, different carrots, different peas and beans, ever-bearing strawberries, currents, kiwi vine, grapes, berries, turnips, potatoes, well... there are so many things... look around on the net for organic seed companies and organic heritage seed companies... lots and lots of great stuff out there.
