  1. This is a rant rather than a question.

    No I don't partake of meat, I'm a vegan.

Do I wear plastic belts and shoes? No. I don't wear or use leather but there are many non-animal derived materials that can be used without resorting to something as sweaty and uncomfortable as plastic - plastic shoes? yuk.

I don't believe in god, so that argument means nothing to me. I am fascinated, though, by believers who are arrogant enough to assume they KNOW what their god wants and intended on every issue.

We are all omnivores; as such we are able to eat and digest a variety of foods, both animal and plant based. We are also able to make choices, and some people choose not to eat meat. Other people make a different choice.

Why on earth does that bother you?

And what about people who blow up buildings etc? What's your question? To simply ask 'what about..?' something makes no sense at all and gives no indication of the sort of answers you want.

Are you (clumsily) suggesting that all vegans and vegetarians damage life and property? If so you are showing enormous ignorance.

  2. im a vegetarian. and i dont like wearing weather so i wear fake leather boots

  3. I am a vegetarian, and I'm quite proud of it.

I don't believe in eating meat. I think it's horrible. No, these animals were NOT put on the planet just to be eaten. Why would they be here when we have plenty of other things that are just as good, if not better, to eat?

Let me ask you a question: would you eat your cat? Your dog? Your hamster? I'm guessing your answer is no.

Well, then isn't it hypocritical to eat cows and chickens and pigs?

I also don't wear leather or fur. I find it extremely selfish - you're slaughtering a completely innocent animal, just so you can wear its skin. It's sick and cruel.

To think that God put animals and plants on the Earth solely for humans to devour is selfish and close-minded. This is what you were told in Sunday School when you were a little kid, correct? Have you ever considered that this information may (or may not) be false? You have to open your mind to other beliefs and points of view.

I also want to point out that being vegetarian is good for your health, and also, the environment. According to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, "Vegetarians are about 40 percent less likely to get cancer than nonvegetarians, regardless of other risks such as smoking, body size, and socioeconomic status." Also, vegetarians and vegans live, on average, 6 to 10 years longer than meat-eaters. Additionally, the risk of developing heart disease among meat-eaters is 50 percent higher than among vegetarians.

    As for the environment:

Did you know that cattle ranching is the number one cause of Amazonian deforestation? How about the fact that the meat industry causes more water pollution in the United States than all other industries combined? How 'bout that more than half of the water comsumed in the US is used to raise animals for food? Also, raising animals for food requires more than one-third of all raw materials and fossil fuels used in the US.

So, it's actually healthier and more responsible to be vegetarian or vegan.

(By the way, it's spelled "omnivore".)

  4. I don't believe in God, and god damnit i love meat.

  5. omnivore not omnavore

I am not sure if I want to be eaten, by you

  6. No meat for me, thanks.  Using my body as a graveyard for decaying animal carcasses just doesn't make sense to me.  As for the belts, I don't bother with them-I just buy pants that fit right, then I don't have to worry about holding them up.  As for shoes, a good pair of flexible sandals made from hemp works for me.  I wouldn't eat my dog, cat or parrot, so I see no reason to slaughter a cow, pig or chicken just to put food on the table.  My lovely garden gives me all of the bounty I need, and my cows and chickens give me the gift of eggs, fresh milk and cream-no need to kill them for the other stuff, when there is always a good substitute if you look for it.  To each his own.

  7. i am vegan but i don't think anything less of people who eat meat AT ALL. i'm not full-out nothing animal-producty though...i do own some leather stuff and don't have purely vegan make-up. some people might call me a hypocrite, but i think it's a personal decision and cutting animal products out of my diet is enough for me.

  8. I am a vegan so I definitely do not eat any type of meat whatsoever. I also do not wear leather or use any type of products tested on animals.

I do not believe God put animals on this earth to eat. If he did, he would have created our bodies accordingly so that we would have the proper teeth, jaw, craving for raw meat, proper stomachs and intestines for such things, and give us the ability to catch and kill the animals to eat. But since we have non of those things and our bodies are designed like herbivores, we were never meant to consume meat because it is unnatural and detrimental to our bodies. I also think that God would never want to see humans abusing other species on this Earth. We are not the only ones on this planet and if we continue to sow seeds to hate, torturing and suffering upon other beings, that's what we will continue to reap.

  9. What about people who blow up buildings and hurt people to raise awareness about not eating animals?  I do NOT support them.  Not all vegetarians are exactly the same.  They are a radical group that I do not support.  I personally choose not to eat meat to prevent animal suffering, but I do not hurt other people.

God commanded us to take good care of our domestic animals.  When you buy meat, you are just paying someone else to kill it.  Modern factory farms keep the animals in abominably terrible conditions.  God gave us the option to eat what we want; he didn't say we HAD to eat meat.  How can you look at modern factory farms and say that God would approve of it?  Research them.

its differs with the person and their beliefs.

  14. I am an omnivore. I do not diss other people's choices though. I do believe meat is murder...if you don't eat it.

  15. i don't eat meat, but i don't harass people who eat it. and i don't like when people bother me about being a vegetarian. i wear regular shoes. i don't wear belts, but only because i don't like them.
