  1. Beans, peas, legumes.

    Leafy vegetables (especially spinach)

  2. Try Atkins - you'll grow hair in places you never thought possible.  And the food's good too - protein and fat.  Ummm - good.

  3. Milk, eggs, tofu, beans, lentils, eggplant, all kinds of nuts.........

  4. Your hair has possibly gotten thinner due to either detoxification from meat / dairy eating, or lack of a certain vitamin. Contrary to popular belief fostered by big business the human body needs very little protein. I eat almost no nuts or tofu or grains, almost all fruit and veggies, and I have more muscle than I need.  Please stay as far from dairy as possible. It is a poison. Concentrate on fresh RAW fruits and veggies, and try to combine as many colors as possible to get a full spread of nutrients. Cooking food kills all the natural enzymes in the food that aid in digestion, taking away 95% of the foods nutrients. I advise eating mostly raw, and then save the hot stuff for special treats like hot chocolate or hot cereal or soup. Y'now, feel good food :)

Please bear in mind that it takes a while for your body to detox from meat and dairy. It probably took you many years to get where you are at, and it will take a few months to get all the poisons out of your system. You are on the road to great health though.

    Good luck!

  8. I would double check with a doctor that the cause/effect that is due to protein.  Hair can also be effected by calcium and vitamins A, C, E, Niacin, and some of the B's.

I've found drinking a small glass of water with a few drops of olive oil and lemon juice helps keep my hair and skin healthier. I hate to offer this as advice though without knowing your condition.  Poor hair can be a symptom of something more serious.

But to add protein eat beans with rice (forms a more complete protein eaten together), nuts, soy products, or any of the other things listed in the other answers.

  9. Beans are a good source of proteins,,,if you dont mind the bowel movements and the regular gas emissions hehehe.

I think potatos are another good source though im not too sure with that one.

  10. dark green vegtables like broccolli and spinach. beans and nuts. soy. chick peas. eggs. veggie burgers, veggie dogs, even veggie "chicken" breast !

  11. the best things to eat are going to be beans, nuts, peas, and any soy products like veggie burgers and tofu

  12. I'm sorry to hear that your hair has gotten dinner.

    Anyways,

If you still eat eggs and dairy, that is a great source of protein.

I also recommend whey protein powder. Lots of high quality protein there.

For a pure vegan unwilling to drink whey sakes, I would say you need to eat rice and beans on a regular basis. Most vegetable sources of protein don't just have less protein than animal sources, but also a lower quality protein due to the incomplete amino acids. However, rice and beans have complementary amino acids, so the protein becomes more complete.

  13. protein shakes such as whey protein or have beans, and u can try muscle milk

  14. Thinner due to lack of protein?

I seriously doubt it. Did a dietitian tell you this?

It's probably because your daily caloric intake has dropped drastically. You should probably eat more often.

Bread, pasta, cereal, rice, beans, peas, lentils, nuts and seeds can offer more than enough protein or possibly TOO MUCH protein.
