  1. vegetariann kabobs! with pineapple, bell pepper, eggplant and anything else you want grilled with bbq sauce yum!

  2. roasted bell peppers are awesome!

burn them (whole) - til the whole thing is black!!!!

have an ice bath ready... place the whole peppers in the bath and peel of the burnt skin.

once all the skin is removed slice them into pieces about the size and shape of your finger ....and add extra virgin olive oil n a bit of lemon juice or balsamic vinegar. enjoy!

  3. Make some kebabs with tofu and vegetables with sweet chilli sauce. YUM!

  4. Here are some veggie based ideas:

-Vegetable kebabs are great! I love them esp in a sauce. If you still eat chicken they would be lovely with that but otherwise just the veggies.

-Roast veggies are yum and you could also make home made hot chips.

-Scallop potatoes are soo delicious. You can't go wrong with them.

-Corn on the cob with some butter.

    -Vegetable soup with croutons.

There are heaps of things you could make.

And make sure you have deserts! Just something like fruit and ice cream is always great.

I hope you have a wonderful time.

  5. Veggie dogs are the BEST! Boca burgers can be great when cooked on a grill. Bring some prepared veggies that can be heated in the microwave and a delicious dessert!

  6. Hi make veggie kebabs using button mushrooms, chunks of courgette, chunks of red/green/orange bell peppers, chunks of red onion and cherry tomatoes, brush with sunflower oil and refridgerate until needed.

Try fruit kebabs, chunks of pineapple, mango, peaches, apricots, red and white grapes.  soak these in fruit juice to prevent going brown and drizzle with golden syrup or maple syrup before putting on barbeque!

Or try this website for more ideas.

The recipe below is from http://www.eighth-day.co.uk/recipes.htm

    Ingredients

1 450g packet of plain tofu

    1 red pepper

    1 red onion

    1 green pepper

2 long woody rosemary stems or skewers

    1 clove of garlic

    1 chilli

Chopped rosemary leaves (removed from the skewers)

    1 tablespoon of tomato

A generous sprinkling of freshly ground black pepper

    Good olive oil

    2 limes

    Method

If you are using rosemary for your skewers, choose long and woody stems and strip off most of the leaves. Leave a small tuft at one end.

Chop the tofu into large cubes and marinate for 1 hour in the lime juice, the tomato puree, finely chopped garlic and chilli, and a tablespoon of finely chopped rosemary leaves.

Chop the red onion and the peppers into the same size pieces as the tofu and coat in the marinade.

Skewer the tofu and vegetables in a pattern of alternate colours and then finish off with a wedge of lime.

You may need a sharp knife to make holes in the tofu and vegetables before you thread them.

Drizzle with olive oil, season with the black pepper, then on to the BBQ

    Make veggie and fruit kebabs

  7. marinated tofu, vegetable cabobs, thinly slices zucchini and eggplant, stuffed peppers, tofu burgers...

  8. get some veggie hot dog or quorn sausages and make hotdogs

  9. corn on the cob...place in in foil with lots of butter...& let it cook - it's delicious!

make a big bowl of potato salad & coleslaw...crusty french bread - that always goes down well!...& if you get plenty of beer & wine in...nobody will care about the food after the first hour!! - lol!!

  10. Portobello mushrooms.

Just put them on burger buns (whole wheat healthy kind) like a hamburger patty... they taste awesome.

Sliced veggies like eggplant, onion, squash, etc. (almost anything will work) that has been coated with extra virgin olive oil.  Yum yum yum.

  11. Homus, pita bread and vegies.  Stop at the store on the way.

  12. Hallumi cheese really salty and great on a BBQ you just slice it us and grill it lightly (it doesn't melt)! goes well with BBQ`d peppers.

Also don't for get the vegi burgers/sausages it is a BBQ after all

  13. I love Boca Burgers, especially the flame grilled ones. You can pop them into the microwave, and have burgers ready for those who want them. There's also Boca burger meat, which you can make into taco salad or sloppy joes. Go on the following site, and look up some vegetarian recipes, like using beans in the place of hamburger:

Other than that, if you've got some carrots, make a pot of glazed carrots (made with brown sugar and butter). On the way to the barbecue, stop at the store and pick up a couple of cans of three-bean salad. Make sure you bring a bowl to put them in, and a serving spoon.

    Have a good time! <*)))><
