Hi I am 23 and 125lbs. I am hoping to gain weight and muscle. I have been working out for a month. I also want to have a great diet to support my exercising.

With this background, what is healthy vegetarian food I should eat? I dont cook a lot, anything simple that I can buy from a food store(which store?) would be great.

Thanks!

  1. if you want to build muscle you need to eat protien.

look up foods that are high in protien content. some examples are peanuts and eggs. you can also try protien shakes - get the mix at GNC or a similar type store

  2. Hi, if you are in UK, you could try Wicken Fen leek, spinach and cheese sausages, they are tasty and vegetarian.    The are easy to cook, just pop in the oven.  Buy them at health food stores.

  3. Fruits and cereals with yougurt, eggs for protein, whole grain bread for toast and coffee or tea.

  4. ok well i eat healthy vegan breakfast blintzes if u r not vegan there is always eggs and cereal and i like to make tofu scramble (i substitute the egg for tudo and fry it up with some white cheese spinach tomatoes w/e u want to add!)

  5. I take a dozen or so eggs and boil them, then stick them in the fridge. Then for breakfast, because I dont like to cook, especially in the morning, I make a piece of whole wheat toast, get a few eggs out and slice them over the top (just the whites) and have it with a cup of fat free milk. That breakfast has about 20 grams of protein...its a small breakfast, but Im trying to lose weight...so add another piece of bread and cover it in peanut butter.

Or you can make quick oats (oatmeal) and slice strawberries or other fruit over the top, add pieces of walnuts and add milk. This is so delicious. And so good for you. For extra protein you can add a little protein powder or just some wheat germ, which has lots of protein.
