How much weight have you lost since becomming a vegetarian?

I'm a little nervous about weight loss. I'm 60 lbs overweight, and Im in marching band, but I hear that I won't lose any weight because I don't get enough nutrients by being a veggie.

HELP!

  1. vegetarian does not equal weightloss. neither does being a vegan. its all about what you eat.

  2. Weightloss is about reducing calorie intake or burning more calories than you consume.  A balanced vegetarian diet will give you all the nutrients you need..whoever told you otherwise has no clue what they are talking about.

Cutting out meat does not mean weight loss, cutting calories and fat does.
