Vegetarian advice--------------?

im going to become a vegetarian and i need to kno everything---from what foods are a good source of protien to what foods taste the best.any advice/tips are a big help!!

  1. Pick up The New Becoming Vegetarian at your library or bookstore:

    Basically, eat lots of whole grains, vegetables, and fruits. Add some protein like tofu, beans, nuts, soymilk, or mock-meat products like veggieburgers. Don't be afraid to try new foods or cuisines. There's many great vegetarian Indian and Chinese dishes.

    Visiting a vegetarian restaurant can give you some great meal ideas.


  2. Deffiently start slow. Cut out red meat first, then maybe a week later chicken. After that wait a bit and cut out all meat. I mean you can't just become a vegetarian over night right?

    And i promise you'll have an easier time making the transition if you change bit by bit, instead of throwing yourself into a new lifestyle.

  4. Better eat fresh fruits apples.bananas  dry fruits...etc.,

    Vegitables...TOMATOS,POTATOS,Green leafy ones .Besides these

    Dairy products best advisable.

  5. Well, tofu, tempeh, and nuts are some of the different types of food that has protien... And I think eggs do too, but I don't eat them.

    I love to eat curry :] It tastes awesome. Red and orange curry is the kind you should try. Thai resturants usually have a wide varity of vegetarian meals.

    For lunch I usually make something quick. Like a can of soup or a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich with rye bread. Yum :D But you have to try a boca burger. They taste 100x better then a hamburger.

    Things to watch out for:

    Geliton, glycerine, marshmellows, soap [because of glycerine], bleached flour, and refined sugar.
