  1. skip labeling yourself and shop for healthy foods that taste good.

  2. Normal list, no meat, more beans, grains add tofu and tempeh.

  3. Basic list just minus animal products. Make sure you get your fresh fruits and vegetables,  whole grains (pasta, cereal, bread), nuts (almonds cashews, hazelnuts, walnuts, etc), seeds, legumes, nutritional yeast, beans (black, pinto, baked, kidney, refried, etc), seiten, tofu, tvp, falafels, vegan margarine/butter, quinoa, tempeh, lentils,  fortified plant milk (soy, hemp, almond, etc), chickpeas, hummus, braggs liquids, flaxseeds, peanut butter, vegetable oils, vegan ice cream/yogurt, etc....

    Vegan premade foods:

Amy's: Pizza, pockets, bowls, pot pies, entrees, chili, burritos, burgers.

Tofurky: Deli slices, sausages, superburgers, franks, tempeh, jurky.

LightLife: Meat substitutes such as tempeh, bacon, chicken, & beef.

    Boca: Burgers

    Morgingstar: Burgers, meal starters.

Gardenburger: Burgers, BBQ riblets, other meat substitutes such as chicken, & sausage.

Silk Soymilk: Chocolate, Vanilla, Nog, Pumpkin, Spice, & Chai.

    Tofutti: Better Than Cream Cheese.

    Earth Balance: Whipped Spread.

    Vegan Gourmet: Cheese

So Delicious/Purely Decadent: Ice Cream & yogurt.

Also: Yves, Nate's, Cedarlane, Mon Cuisine, TastyBite, LaBriute Meals, plus others

Here is some links to a guide of common grocery store foods that are mostly vegan, and definitely vegetarian:

  4. Plenty of fresh fruit and vegies of course! as well as grain bread, wholemeal pasta, tofu, vegie burgers, beans, dark chocolate (yum) and soy milk/yoghurt.

Are you new to vegetarianism? start gently with baked beans or tinned beans/lentils etc. and gradually learn new recipes and cooking methods to expand and support your diet.

    Goodluck

  5. Tahini, pita bread, lentils and chickpeas don't forget all the vegetables hehe
