  1. stop being a vegitarian your not saving anything

  2. I used to do that my mom started to think I was anorexic...so I told her she didn't care as long as I went and got a check up with a doctor. I make my own food and eat with my family.

You can just eat a little and say your not hungry enough to eat chicken.

Does she have a dog? lol have him eat it.

If possible eat before you go so you wont be hungry and then eat a little of the side foods if they are vegetarian.

  3. don't hide it - people will be puzzled and maybe say you're silly but you will have to learn to live with that sooner or later. if you don't tell people then they won't have any food to offer to you when you visit (you'll be hungry) and also you won't know whether the things you believe are meat-free really are (e.g. you can cook vegetable soup with meat stock...and as a vegetarian you wouldn't want to eat that). i think vegetarianism is quite common and most people will already know someone who doesn't eat meat so it won't be such a shock.

  4. Tell them, if it is a problem you cannot hide from it forever. And at least you will have lots of family around so that you do have to go repeating yourself too many times lol. I had to explain my reasons over and over and over again!

  5. Tricks?  Why must you use tricks?  It's not like you joined some weirdo religious cult.

  6. Don't hide it.  Being vegetarian is nothing to be ashamed of.  And your stepmom will want to know why you're not eating the food she made for you.  Just tell them that you decided to become vegetarian a few weeks ago.

When your family members ask why you've become veg, keep in mind that the dinner table is no place to go into the gory aspects of factory "farming."  Just tell them you read some things that made you decide you couldn't eat meat anymore, and if they want more information, you'll happily get them some.

  7. my first question is, why don't you want to tell anyone? are you ashamed? you shouldn't be. i've been a vegetarian for 10 years and still get comments from family, i just ignore them. you can't hide it forever.

if for some reason, you really feel you can't tell anyone, just eat the veggies and tell them you're not that hungry.

  8. Just come clean and say your a vegetarian and then just eat the veggies.

  9. Tough one, because you want to keep this information secret from family, yikes, but I have a solution.

Just go over and then when you get served the chicken, just say that you had diarrhea all day yesterday and saw the doctor and you were told to avoid any meats for a little while, as the doc said the meat is heavy on the stomach and it is harder to digest.  Then ask if she can serve you the vegetables only for now, as per the doctor's orders.  This will be a good coverup!
