Question:

Vegetarian meals that will give me lots of energy?

I'm a vegetarian and soccer just started up. I need some breakfast/lunch meal ideas that will give lotsssss of energy. I practice 5 days a week and tryouts are this week and they are double sessions 3 hours long each so i need good meal plans. thanks!

  1. BEANS AND sorry, i dind't read the question....carbs arn't what you need, it's protein so go buy whey protein shakes, or try soy (the one which they "improve" by adding protein)


  2. If you need iodine and vitamine a then kelp flakes are rich in iodine and vitamines.  They both give you energy.  If you need these you should eat a meal the day before you exercise.

  3. Beans, tofu, quiona, potatoes, etc makes meals with those, basically high carb and high protien and high calories gives you more energy.

  4. Loads of pasta or potatoes. They are rich in carbohydrates.

  6. Oatmeal...Tofu...Fruits and Vegetables, that's what works best for me.

    I would eat lots of carbs with dinner, but not breakfast or lunch before practice because carbs actually slow you down and make you tired.

    When i had soccer tryouts last summer, vitamin water and gatorade helped a lot.

  7. Well I am a raw vegan and I do a lot of green juices/smoothies with some fruit added (optional). Also my breakfast are simple, besides the green juices/smoothies I eat fruits and nuts depending on what I make.
