Question:

Vegetarian?!?

I eat meat but I have been trying to become a vegetarian for the past two years! I know that's long. I can't really stay away from meat. I guess you could say that I have no will power but I don't really like salad or tofu and I have heard that a vegetarian diet mostly consists of those foods. Also, can I still eat Ramen noodles? My friend told me that it's just flavoring.

  1. idk

  2. eat whatever u like ........ their is no need to be upset about your eating habits .... if u really want to quit meat than start eating white meat (paneer) that's deli sous like meat

  3. yes you can eat ramen noodles, just as long there is not really any meat.

i eat boca burgers & morning star burgers (which are meatless/vegan burgers.)

they are very good, you cannot tell the difference.

i've just been a vegan for about a week, i'm planning on to sticking to this.

;) good luck ; hope this helps!

  4. A vegetarian diet has a lot more than tofu and salad (I didn't eat tofu or salad until about 10 months after becoming vegetarian). I suggest you try some "mock meats". They taste really similar to meat, but don't involve the cruetly. You can try make vegetarian versions of your old meat dishes, such as vegetarian lasagne, vegetable pie, veggie hot dogs etc. (Tons of websites have millions of vegetarian recipes, if you type in something like "vegetarian lasagne" into google you'll find a lot of good recipes).

Vegetarian pasta and wraps taste great as well. I don't know, but you probably can still eat Ramen noodles.

    Good luck

  5. if its really that hard for you then like wean yourself off meat...like reduce meat intake until you eat practically no meat. and being vegetarian doesnt necessarily mean only salads and tofu. im a vegetarian i barely eat tofu. you can get really creative with foods. plus they make vegetarian meat...like boca burgers and stuff. and you can still eat ramen noodles unless you plan to be vegan-theres animal stock in it so vegans dont eat it.

  6. It all depends on how strict you want to be about it.  I was vegan growing up, and we generally didn't eat things like Ramen because there will almost always be chicken or beef stock in the flavor mix.  And many non-meat foods contain lard, eggs, milk, or other animal products.   If you're just cutting out actual meat, then just get creative.  There's a lot of ways to make up potatoes, beans, etc so that they appeal to you.  Pastas are still ok, and breads, pizza with your fave veggies or soups.  The Morningstar Farms products are very good, except that I would avoid the chicken patties or nuggets.  They are good to me, but they really are nothing like chicken.  :)
