  1. You don't have to give up meat entirely.  Just give up meat that comes from factory farms.  If you buy from a local farm in your area you will have a cleaner conscience.

    1. Go to www.meat.org and watch the video.  This will confirm why you are feeling guilty - because the meat industry is horribly corrupt.  I really think that if more people knew the truth they would not consume so much meat from these sources.

    2. Try replacing some of the meat in your diet with meatless vegetarian products.  In very many recipes you can't even tell the difference.

Don't worry, there is meat that comes from happy, healthy animals!  Just adopt the motto that if you don't know where it came from don't eat it.

  2. We all felt guilty about eating meat, thats one of the main reasons we gave it up. I don't really understand why you posted this, it's not really a question. I don't need to try and convert you, your conscience is doing a good job.

BTW: there are vegetarian alternatives to all your favorite foods that have meat in them.

  3. First you ask if anyone feels bad, then you don't want vegetarians to answer you.   I became a vegan because I have cancer.  The "perk" is that I am not killing animals.   YES, I felt very bad.  And YES, I feel wonderful now.  But vegan or vegetarian foods are delicious and MUCH tastier than any food with meat in it.

  4. http://www.meat.org

  5. the soy meat products have almost the same flavor as the real meat. i absolutely love meat, but the artificial tastes just as good. truly, it is your decision and maybe you could just cut down on the amount of meat you eat. so, if you still want to eat meat, just decrease the levels of meat you eat! good luck

  6. Have you ever felt like you wanted to be a good, upstanding and moral person, but you realized that you were just too weak in character?

    Same thing.

  7. to feel "guilt" must mean you feel you are doing something wrong.

You could, if you wish, stop doing whatever it is you feel is wrong.

You just have to ask yourself, do i value my tastebuds more than the animals ?

If the answer is yes, then carry on, if not, then stop.

"guilt" is pretty much a useless emotion if you don't act on what its telling you.

some of lifes choices are very simple

  8. I felt very guitly. I'm not going to tell you to become a vegetarian...however I will tell you that if you were to CHOOSE to become one...it is hard to give up your favortie food but it can be done. There are brands of food out there that are meat substitutes...truth is...yeah they may not taste exactly the same, they can get pretty close. But veggie burgers...thise I find quite revolting.

Or like spagetti...you can have sauce without meat

    And there's Vegetarian Lasanga...

But that is one of the reasons I became one...guilt.

Not the only, there's plenty others, like health and stuff, I actually don't like meat to much.

But that's basically my point...the guilt helped lead me to this...and then I found other good reasons...wait...okay actually I just lost my point but that will have to do...sorry!

  9. I am a non-preaching vegan.  My being a vegan is a personal choice but I don't harp on others to jump on my band wagon.  My cousin is my best friend and he is a hunter.  I don't agree with it but that is his choice.  He jokes about me being a vegan.  I tell him that I have to bring my own food when I come for a visit.  There are lots of people who love animals but are vegetarians.  I think that some of them aren't aware of how cruely animals are treated for meat.  Some of them think that you are much healthier if you are a meat eater.  Some of them think that loving animals is enough even if you still eat them.  Don't be too hard on yourself.  It is great that you love animals.  However, if you really feel guilty then do something about it.

  10. OMG YOU'RE JUST LIKE ME!!!!!!!! i thought i was the only 1 wow thats shocking. if you would like to talk playas_girl01 i can help you

  11. Dont say what you DO or DONT want people to say....especially when your DUMB enough to post a question to the WORLD

If thats the case - why ASK???

  12. If you feel guilty you can do something about it.  Then you won't feel guilty anymore.  Humans don't need meat to live.  The ten million vegetarians and vegans in the United States are living proof of that.  If you want to learn more, go to

  13. Awww I understand completely how you feel!  That's been a big block for me for years.  Thankfully I'm not a big meat eater so I've cut out red meat but I can't seem to shake the others.  I adore real homemade gravy and you need to make meat first to make it taste right, I will never give up my sushi.  I just try to make the best choices.  I buy meat at the local farmers market where I can get good free range meats and stuff.  If it really bothers you, then try to replace or give up a couple meat dishes or only eat the ones you really love and eat veggie the rest of the time.  My family and I always try to eat 2 veggie meals a week.  Every little bit helps!

  14. Do what your heart tells you to do

  15. well, feel guilty if you want

  16. you not eating meat wont change anything, billions of others will still eat it. animals are bred specifically to feed humans. We are on the top of the food chain, so why eat the same food as a rabbit? Vegans are even worse. They are just going to eat all the animals food and then the animals will die of starvation!  (maybe not but i think vegans are insane)

  17. I am a vegitarian....but its completely ur choice...if u want to stop feelinn guily...becum one...if u'd rather enjoy ur favrte foods...dont

  18. uhhhh ....am I suppose to feel sorry for you?

  19. I suggest you go to a slaughter house and discover where you food on your table comes from. It would help you out a lot!

  20. well... i believe some animals were made to eat
