Vegetarian restaurant in Edinburgh?

Other than David Bann - which I've already booked for one night. We want to try another. Must have really good food and wine and not cafeteria-like. I've seen the list on websites but I've also seen some less than enthusiastic comments.

There's nothing like personal recommendation. Thanks all

  1. there's Henderson's on Hanover street it's more a take away cafe type. but nice for a lunch. hope this helps

  2. can recommend Black Bo's it is fantastic and Im not a veggie!  Restaurant like and only does veggie food, definately not a cafe for a proper meal out.

  3. The Slug & Lettuce!!! i loved that name!!

  4. for nice Indian food try Kalpna i like the masala dosas http://www.kalpnarestaurant.com/

  5. Theres Hendersons on Hanover street, Ann Purna in Newington.

Or you could try Urban Angels on Hanover street - not a veggie restuarant, but they usually have some good veggie options.

  6. TRY THESE:-

    Annpurna Vegetarian

45 St Patrick Square, Edinburgh, Midlothian, EH8 9ET

    T. 0131 662 1807

    Black Bos

    57-61 Blackfriars Street, Edinburgh, Midlothian, EH1 1NE

    T. 0131 557 6136

    Kalpna

    2/3 St Patrick's Square, Edinburgh, Midlothian, EH8 9EZ

    T. 0131 667 9890

  7. Although not a vegetarian restaurant in itself, if you want eally good vegetarian food try Martin Wishart.  They do a vegetarian tasting menu, which is really nice.

  8. I cannot wait to dine at David Banns, I've booked a table too. I agree with previous posters that Black Bo's is definitely worth a visit.
