Question:

Vegetarian restaurants in Brighton?

I want to take my vegetarian best mate out for a really good meal on his birthday in Brighton. Most restaurants have a 'V' option, but their range is very small. I want a great extravagant vegetarian choice, organic wine, the lot, give him something to remember!

  1. There are good vegetarian restaurants in Brighton but most of the ones I have been to do not do a meat option so I give them a body swerve.

  2. THERE  are a couple the come to mind.

    1/ Food for friends

    2/ Terre a Terre.

both are good and in the town

    enjoy.

  3. Food for friend is nice and quite reasonable however Terre a Terre is the michelin star of all veggie restaurants.......fabulous and oringinal and that is coming from a big carnivore!!!!!!!!!!    Take your credit card as pricey but well worth it, enjoy the night!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Undoubtably Terre a Terre.  The food has to be seen to be believed - take a camera as it looks like art.

I highly recommend sharing the Terre a Tapas to start with - it is a small sample of about 9 different main courses and is just a taste explosion on a plate.

Their wine selection is very good and finding organic will not be a problem.

I'm not veggie, but my wife is.

As for cost, it is fairly expensive, but if it was in London you would simply not be able to get a table.  Its also not that expensive compared to meat/fish restaurants which are nowhere near as good.

    Alternatives:

Food for Friends, but has a reputation for serving stodge.

    Nia Cafe.
