Vegetarian vitamins?

Question

Is there any vitamin for a 16 year old vegetarian, which means no gelatin included? I'm especially looking for vitamin packages with Vitamin A, B6, B12, and some iron and zinc in there as well. Every time I find one, though, it has gelatin in it.

Could you show me one either from Costco, Vitamin World, or GNC?

GNC should carry a vegetarian multi.  Schiff is a brand that I've found pretty widely in regular grocery and drug stores and they have a vegetarian formulation.  Also, Whole Foods has several.  If worse comes to worst, you can order any number of brands online.  I order Deva brand vegan multi from Vegan Essentials.

I really like Alive vitamins.  They are made from all fruits and veggies!  You can find them in stores now, but the cheapest place that I have found them is www.iherb.com.  The great thing about that site is that they send you samples of other things as well!

If you eat the right foods, you won't need to take any vitamins.  I am almost 16 too! I learned about foods in a book called "A Teen's Guide to Going Vegetarian".  There are so many protein, and iron substitutes, as well as many many foods with vitamin A in them.  B vitamins come from animal products, so if you still drink milk (or eat dairy) you'll be just fine!  If not, there are many places you can get supplements.  I go to Good Earth (or any other natural food store) because they cater to vegetarian diets, and have huge sections devoted to vitamins, most of which contain no gelatin.  They taste a little bit more icky because there are no gel caps, but if you drink them with juice or something you barely notice it.  Also, you could take just a multivitamin, but get one without fish oil,

Theres a brand called NOW which i use, vegetarian formula. Not sure about the gelatin though. Look it up online where to buy, i get mine from a local health store.
