Do you agree with vegetarians. Is it cruel to raise animals for slaughter and eat their flesh? Is it a healthier lifestyle to substitute meat for other products. Many celebrities beleive so i.e Tobey Maguire, Alicia Silverstone, Josh Hartnet etc.

Or

Do you think humans are omnivores. We are supposed to eat meat and plants. After all, we have the teeth for it? It is the circle of life?

What do you think?

  1. Im a vegetarian and i think it is curel to slaughter animals for food why do it if your going to digest it hours later? and it is healthier for you b/c you dont eat all thoes steriods that they put in the meat

and would you like to be raised and slaughter for food?

  2. I've long wanted to be a vegetarian but didn't have the time or energy to learn a whole new way of cooking - until recently.  I feel better (almost lighter) and still don't understand if we consider ourselves the "intelligent species," why we haven't come up with something better than eating animal flesh.  It's bad enough to slaughter but they're being unbelievably abused and tortured first now.

I no longer consider myself a Neanderthal regardless of what the bible-thumpers believe.

  3. plants&animals are made by god to be eaten by human..maybe not all but its the circle of life..if u said its cruel to kill animal..why did you kill the plants to eat them..they are living things too..so i think you know the answer already..

  4. Meat has its place. If I don't eat the meat, someone else will. Its not wrong to raise them for food. We have to survive. But, vegtiables are also very very important and should make up most of the persons diet. How can we stay healthy when we eat dead food?

  5. I eat meat in moderation, as do most people in the third-world by the way.

  6. It's a little of both. Humans are omnivores, so were are supposed to eat some meat. However, the conditions many animals are raised in are unacceptable, both for the animals and for the people who end up eating the questionable meat. meat is also not supposed to make up as large a portion of our diet as it does for many North Americans. We are meant to eat it, but in moderation. As for the steroids and hormones given to animals, this is not a problem where I live, in Canada. We are not allowed to give any form of steroids or hormones to any animals who will contribute to human food. We cannot feed them animal byproducts in their feed, either. Although that may be a huge problem in the US, I don't have to worry about it.

Celebrities may believe that eating meat is bad for you, but most doctors and biologists say that it's the most efficient way of getting essential nutrients. Not the ONLY way, but the most efficient.

  7. MEAT. i love a rare bloody peice of steak. love chicken, love all meat. god put meat here for us to eat. it is in the d**n bible

  8. I used to be a meat eater and loved eating steaks, chicken, anything and everything! But then I visited a farm about 4 years ago and watched them shoot a cow with a shot gun. Since then, it has scarred me for life and I cannot bare the thought of the amount of cruelty which goes into making a steak. It actually sickens me to see a piece of steak. It's not that I am like "Omg that is so mean you traitor!" I think a lot of vegetarians take it far out of proportion than what it really is. Such as our 'green' society today. I actually had a jack *** the other day, at a gas station, yell at me for throwing away paper bags of Mc Donald's and some other junk in my car. He said it's a shame how we don't recycle like we're supposed to. I just looked at him and told him it's none of his goddamn business what I do with my trash lol. That's the kind of attitude about it that rubs me the wrong way. As a vegetarian, I refuse to put others down and preach to them profusely like others do. It's a personal choice and decision regardless if you eat meat or not. It works both ways. Everyone should respect each other's opinions. People are still going to eat meat no matter how much you protest for them not to. And people are still going to be vegetarians regardless if you tell them they're overreacting. There is never going to be one extreme or the other. It's just the nature of balance in our world. I just think some people need to get over it and move on. Let everyone just be!

  9. Meat tastes AMAZING. And plus, if you buy kosher meat, then that means that the meat was slaughtered with a quick deep stroke with a perfectly sharp blade without any unevenness. This method is painless and causes unconsciousness in 2 seconds and is one of the most humane methods to slaughter animals.
