  1. I don't believe that one is better than the other.

  2. They are quite equal actually. Vegetarians help to protect animal rights and reduce cruelty towards those poor animals. But, meat eaters help to balance the ecosystem and stuff.

I hate the way they kill the animals brutally for their meat though.

We can't say which one is better since people thinks differently about eating meat. =)

  3. I believe that the meat eater is better 'cause u can be a meat eater and eat vegetable and fruits too

    Vegetarian no meat!:(

    Meat Eater better!:)

  4. they are equal neither one is better

  5. none are better as there are too many variables...

apres vous do you also take into account that we cant break down cellulose...which is in almost every vegetable??? or the fact that fiber(plant matter) passes right through us?

  6. Until we can treat animals with respect and end what goes on in slaughter houses vegetarianism is better in my opinion. We cannot ignore what is happening to the poor animals!

  7. I personally cannot stand questions like this. It perpetuates the notion that vegetarians and omnivores should be in this battle against one another and one diet/life style HAS to be better.

We are each entitled to eat as we please and not be judge for it. I think the ironic thing between the whole omnivore/vegetarian debate is that for the majority of people we are all just looking to be respected for what we choose and not told that we are sickly, lacking nutrition, not eating correctly, etc., weather we eat vegetarian or meat in our diets. The majority are just looking for a little respect and tolerance for the personal choices we make.

The question is not specific enough, better for what? Better for health?, better for the individual?, better for the environment?, better for the animals? better suited to my personal preference? There are far too many variables to state which is better than the other(if one is even better).

  8. From looking through some of your other questions it's quite clear that you have an agenda and a serious holier than thou attitude. This sort of question is inflammatory, insulting and unhelpful. All it does is cause rifts and arguements.

Each person is an individual, be they a meat eater or vegetarian. Neither is better than the other.

  9. I don't believe one is better than the other either .....  People all have different tastes, beliefs, and dietary needs.  I believe you should be able to eat what you want, without someone preaching to you about what they think is best for YOU....

  10. I don't believe that one is better per say. Although, it is my belief that we as human beings were meant to eat meat and that God put animals on this earth so that we could be fed. I mean, i am the HUGEST animal lover to have ever existed (i own a dog and a hamster), so don't get me wrong. I am very active with my opinions on Animal rights, so don't get me started on that; But, again, i think we were born meat eaters.

And Kudos to the guy above me! For once, I have scientific proof to back up my religious belief. :D

  11. I don't believe that one is better than the other - humans, and both their dentition and digestive tract, are designed to consume and process a wide variety of different food stuffs. I believe that any diet that goes to an extreme is bad for one's health and that all foods need to be consumed in moderation and variety.

Just my 2 creds worth of opinion.

  12. Vegetarian vs. meat eater?? You mean like the predator vs alien sort of thing? Didn't know there was a competition going on...

You are asking this in the V&V section so I suppose you are expecting a certain answer..

Try asking this in the general food and drink section and you might be get a different set of answers...

  13. Better for the animals:  Vegetarian

    Better for the environment: Vegetarian

Better for overall health: It depends, both can be healthy.

I don't want to start an argument here, but in response to Wedges comment, the digestive system favors plant based foods because of it's length.  If we were made to eat as much meat as humans do now, we would have a very very short intestine.  This is the reason that often times, meat gets trapped in the body for 24-60 hours before defecation.  This is also the reason that colon and rectal cancers are far more common in those who eat meat, because the colon can't process meat products as well as plant foods.

  14. vegetarians!

just simply google animal cruelty and you'll understand.

Millions of innocent animals spend their lives being bred to either get fat and be killed for our greedy benefit, or live in a tiny stall to produce milk or in a cage with 10 other chickens to lay eggs their whole lives.

People freak out and say you don't have as much of a healthy lifestyle because you don't get enough protein or whatever from a vegetarian diet, however, they can't make that judgment because they don't know how to get the correct nutrients.  Vegetarians have just as healthy, and if not, healthier, lifestyle than non-vegetarians.  When I became vegetarian, I was forced to replace my main courses with more vegetables and fruit and soy.  Soy products contain all the nutritious benefits that meat offers without taking the life of an animal.  I also take a liquid vitamin that has every last mineral that I miss from meat.

Sorry to make this answer so long, I'm just very passionate about this topic!

  15. i don't believe one is better than the other i think they both can be healthy with a little effort

  16. personal choice but no one is better then the other person
