  1. I've been vegetarian for about 15 years now so can't even remember what it tasted like!  The only thing that gets me is when I walk past a fish and chip shop, the smell sometimes gets me, but even then I think it might be the salt and vinegar I like!!

  2. i really miss meat it very nice but it life u have 2 suffer

    xtcx

  3. I miss it a little, but if it came down to it, I couldn't eat it. I'm not willing to let animals suffer so I can eat them

  4. I am a semi-vegetarian--- if there is even such a term. I seldom eat meat. I like the taste but it seems to foul up my innards. It makes my **** stink---seriously!  When I remember how some industrial farm animals are treated I don't mind missing out on the protein from animals. However, once or twice a season, my body really craves for meat, especially in the winter.

  5. No, not really.  What I miss is the freedom to go into any restaurant and not worry about weird ingredients in my food.

  6. no,there is no need to be cruel to animals to eat

  7. Not at all.  Being vegetarian is a lifestyle choice not some sort of punishment or diet!

  8. I'm a recent vegetarian, purely for health reasons as my system can't seem to tolerate meat amongst other substances anymore.

What I miss most is roast chicken. However as the only (good) cook in my house I still do the cooking for Himself and the smallies who eat meat. This means that every so often I'm tortured by the smell of my former favourite food. Resistance is hard but not futile.

  9. The only meat I ever enjoyed eating was chicken and the only chicken meal that I felt I would miss was chicken curry.

It's been 14 years and I've never craved it or missed it.

People will tell me all the things they couldn't go without and then want to taste my food because it looks so good.

I think eating meat is fine if you enjoy it. If you don't really like it it's not worth the animal's sacrifice.

  10. no, actually I don' t when I first became a vegetarian I thought I would miss it terribly  turns out I don't. Wow thats creepy    I miss bacon to , I don't know why I miss it It just tastes good!=)

  11. Heck no!

  12. Sometimes I envy the convenience of just being able to eat whatever, but I don't really have a desire to eat the foods themselves.

  13. Honestly, I was scared I would miss Taco Time.

I got over it and made vegetarian burritos.

    Never looked back.

  14. I used to. I used to cook a lot of very traditional italian food. And I'll admit, no matter what its still not the same when you use faux meats. Oh well though. Oh and I was a pastry artist for a while, did a lot of baking. I'll make it for other people if they request but I can't eat it myself. Sucks.. Do you know how hard Vegan Wedding cakes are to make just right???

    Oi...

  15. I'll probably get booed for saying this, but yes,

sometimes I crave it, but as others have said,

    it's a choice, and I'm certain I'll stay a vegetarian.

  16. Certainly not

  17. The only thing I miss is a McDonalds cheeseburger!

  18. no, it tastes, smells and looks disgusting.

    that is all.

and why would i miss protien, you seem to think that meat is your only source of it, you are badly mistaken.

  19. I don't miss it even slightly. Once or twice I have thought "this meal would be nice with chicken" but then I glanced out of the window at Martha, one of my hens, and I was angry at myself for thinking that!

  20. No.

Why would I miss the protein?  Vegetarians do not lack protein.

  21. I am a vegan and don't miss anything

i don't believe food is a pleasure in life though and some peoples lives resolve around food which i find weird.

  22. I get plenty of protein without meat.

I personally don't miss gobs of flesh rotting in my colon.  I don't miss bloody, grissly, slabs of muscle on my plate.  I personally prefer foods that have never bled and have never screamed in terror or pain while being murdered.

www.meat.org<==  Watch that and tell me how much you love the texture.

  23. Ew just saying 'I like the taste of flesh' just sounds revolting. I hate the stuff... I don't like the taste anymore and am really dedicated. I've been a veggie since November (8 months) and it's the best thing I have ever done! I hate meat and seeing it and smelling it makes me feel a bit ill, maybe cos I am so used to not eating meat. But knowing it's a dead animal makes me feel sick and disgusted. My friends were cooking a BBQ and they bought beef in a packet and it had blood in the bottom and my friends were feeling sick as they finally realised it was a dead animal! I hate the Quorn ham cos it smells so much like the real stuff, its horrible. People argue saying we are hypocrites for eating veggie burgers etc cos they are in the shape and sometimes smell a bit like real meat but it's just how they are made; they can't really be made into any other shape... There's so much veggie stuff out there too, even in restaurants and it's way better for you. However, I saw something recently that said it's been proven that not being a pregnant vegetarian may increase the chances of the baby becoming disabled.

  24. no! today when i smelled it, i literally got a head ache and could not finnish my lunch.

  25. im 14 and a vegitarian..i have been for 3 years now

and no way do i miss meat!!!!!!!!!!

i think its just very very cruel

    i eat the quorn products

    IM A 100% VEGITARIAN

    hope thats helps ;)

    xx

  26. no they have soy meats... the texture is close and what do you mean you'd miss the protein? there are other foods with protein... for example, the soy meats are high in protein.

i missed hot dogs at first but i went veg before they started making alll these soy meats.  now i don't miss anything in the slightest.

  27. No, I don't miss it at all. I don't think I could ever eat it again. I've seen an animal being slaughtered (although it was after I became a veggie) so I know what goes on in a slaughter house and I didn't like it one bit so I won't be eating meat any time soon. Since there are plenty of sources of veggie protein like quorn, nuts ect I get enough protein so I don't miss out.

  28. no, no,no, never ever

  29. no. i dislike the smell of it, and it's mean to the animals.

  30. yes, completely, i love it all.  But if you are thinking about being a vegetarian, isn't it better not to taste something and feel good about yourself?...better than eating something and feeling bad. that was my decision when i became a vegetarian.

  31. NOOOO.

havnt eaten anything that could breath for 2 years.

now i think its disgusting actually.
