Well, I had some vegetarian buffalo chicken wings, made from Boca. The same company that makes the Boca Burgers.

I'm a meat-eater, but I got this from a food pantry. I was wondering-since you're vegetarian, do you eat these sorts of products?

  1. ya, i just had a vegan burger for dinner.

  2. yes, I'm a vegan and i eat these substitutes all the time. I had a soy "chicken" on thanksgiving even!

  3. Yep! They're very delicious too! I had one last night for dinner.

  4. I'm no vegetarian but I'm slowly working toward it. Yes, I eat those types of things regularly. Morningstar Garden Burgers and Big Franks are my favorites. Also, big surprise to some people, if you look at the back of a Salad Toppin's (a mixture of nuts, herbs and 'bacon') bottle you'll see that it mentions that it contains soy product. If you then continue on to the ingredients you'll see that instead of real bacon they use a soy substitute that tastes similar. I put those on my salad all the time and didn't find out until almost two years after eating them. The whole time I thought it was dehydrated bacon.

I've never had vegetarian buffalo wings, I don't care for tofu (the texture...) and vegetarian chicken, well haven't tried that either. But I love just plain Boca Beef. It's like ground beef, perfect for vegetarian chilis and meetloaves.

  5. yes. i am a vegetarian and i do.

  6. Yes, I eat them pretty much every day. They make it really convenient to replace meat in my favorite meals and recipes!

  7. I prefer to avoid these foods as the majority are so processed. If I can make a yummy recipe at home, then that works for me. And we mainly keep these processed foods to family/ friend get togethers so that our kids don't feel out of place.

  8. Yeah. I eat it all the time. I agree with tiny dancer. It's not the taste that I disapprove of. It's the method the people use to turn the animals into food.

I'm curious to know, did you try it? Did you like it?

  9. Yep, I eat these sort of products all the time! It's not the taste of meat that I oppose to or find offensive, it's the animal cruelty that is behind it.

It's just an added bonus that these products are much better for my health as well :)
