Are you only allowed to eat vegetables?

What age did you become a vegetarian?

Why did you want to become a vegetarian?

Do you ever have the urge to eat meat?

Thanks for taking the time out to answer or read this for that I give you a SALAD =).

3). Animal rights.... and i didn't like the taste of milk/meat/eggs

4). No, not meat... but sometimes i feel like eating something with honey/milk chocolate... then i think of where it came from and how, and the urges stop.

  2. I am a raw vegan, I eat fruits, veggies, seed and nuts. I started a new healthy life style at 21. My health all around, is much better than before. After doing a lot of research on raw vegan I would never turn to meat!

  3. Well for me personally I don't eat any animal products apart from milk. I used to eat eggs but then went off them.

    I became a vegetarian just after I turned 14.

I became a vegetarian because it didn't seem right to kill any innocent animals for food when there are other food resources available. I hated driving past fields with cows or whatever in them and then thinking how they would soon end up as food. It just sickened me.

I've never had the urge to eat meat but I suppose that might be because I never really liked meat when I was little.

  4. Are you only allowed to eat vegetables? it depends what kind of vegetarian u are, if ur a ovo vegetarian u can eat eggs, if ur a lacto vegetarian u can have milk products, or if ur an ovo lacto vegetarian u can have both. or u can have neither. u can also have fish, it depends on the person. they may choose differnt levels for differnt reasons, finacial ability, ease, ethics ect.

  5. Q1) No, not at all. Generally, vegetarians will only not eat meat. We can eat everything else.

Q2) I live with a family of carnivores, (not really, but it seems that way,) so I basically grew up eating meat. But I always wanted to stop. I tried and failed repeatedly, but now I'm complete vegetarian as of age... 11 I think.

Q3) I feel terrible eating something that was once a living creature! Animal rights support a lot of the reason, and also, simply my own moral code. Eating a creature that was once living makes me feel sick.

Q4) I was raised eating meat, so yes, occasionally. But then I just remind myself why I'm a vegetarian, and I want to vomit for getting the urge.

  6. Well hence the name VEGETARIAN I'm pretty sure an infant could figure out a Vegetarian can eat vegetables.

I became a Vegetarian a year ago (14). I became a Vegan a couple weeks ago (stopped easting fish, and I'm 15 now)

My mom rose me as a Vegetarian when I was a baby for about two years. Then my mom showed me videos and pictures of animals being slaughtered. I was still iffy, I quit drinking milk quite a long time ago due to the excessive amount of cow Puss (white blood cells) loaded in the milk. After that I read some stuff on Vegetariasm by Vernon Coleman and he was the one that convinced me to become one.

If I ever do, I'll eat fake meat so nothing goes wrong. I don't eat salads much.

  7. 1. i dont eat meat or gelatiin

    2.14

    3.slaughter video;;that is a gross process.

    4.never

  8. Vegetarians can eat anything BUT meat. VEGANS can't eat anything that comes from an animal (eggs, milk, cheese, butter, meat).

    I became Vegan when I was 12.

I became Vegan for health reasons and I stay Vegan because it's better for you AND the animals.

I don't really have the urge to eat meat because the sight of a dead animal cooked for the pleasure of people makes me sick!

Can I have that salad with no cheese! Just lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, kidney beans, and beets. JK! LOL!

  9. I became vegetarian at age 29.  Meaning that I dropped all flesh foods except dairy and things with eggs mixed in. I started reducing meat portions at around age 281/2 because I felt better when I ate less of it.

As I became more educated about the hormones, dioxin, tri-glycerides,

and parasites in meat I became less and less apetized by it and decided six months later to quit eating flesh all-together.  Two years later I became aware of the cruelty, cramped conditions, shortened life-spans and molestation of dairy cows and layer hens.  This made me decide to become an ethical vegan.  Meaning I don't eat or wear any type of animal product. I don't eat meat, eggs, dairy, sea animals, honey, bone-processed sugar,or gelatin. Nor do I wear leather, wool, silk, snake-skin or use toiletries , cosmetics, or fragrances that were tested on animals.  When I  first went vegetarian six years ago I would get meat cravings.  That went away about four years ago.  Mock meats helped me make the initial transition and then three years into it I went to hollistic meals mixing legumes and grains.

Now I am into using recycable, suistanable vegan clothing, and growing as much of my own produce as possible.  I discovered that none of us can ever be totally cruelty free, but we can do our part by growing our own produce.  Millions upon millions of animals die when vegetables are harvested by tractors and tillers. So that's the next logical step for us vegans to take in avoiding as much cruelty as possible.

What type of things do I eat?  Here's a list- broccoli, kale, chard, squash, lentils, kidney beans, chick peas(a.k.a garbanzo beans),

mung beans, black beans, split peas, bulgur wheat, quinoa, nutritional yeast flakes, tempeh, tofu, seitan, brown rice, red rice, black rice, millet, apples, kiwi, spinach, cauliflower, carrots, onions, mushrooms, shallots, any type of nut, rice milk, almond milk, hemp milk. peaches,

potatoes, and various spices with which to make recipes.

Ocassionally I will eat vegan multi-grain chips, rice chips, rice dream  frozen dessert, dairy free dark chocolate, vegan cheez, vegan cookies.  I drink water, herbal teas, and use no alcohol because I am a secular Buddhists.  I don't like artificial sweeteners because I don't

consider them natural. I prefer stevia, agave nectar, beet sugar, crystallized ginger,  etc.

If you have any more questions just ask.  I have a blog and my email is always open.

  10. There are a varaitey of foods we eat.

    I become one at 15

I dotn like eating animals.  Its like if a dinasaur came up and ate you.  Would you like it?

Never had teh urge to eat meat

  11. Vegetarians can eat anything that doesn't come from the slaughter of an animal. Ovo-lacto vegetarians, for example, eat dairy, eggs, vegetables, fruits, and grains. Lacto- or ovo- vegetarians eat either dairy (lacto-) or eggs (ovo-), and fruits, vegetables, and grains. Vegans eat nothing that comes from an animal...only plant material.

I think I became a vegetarian at 13 or 14. Probably 14. I'm 18 now, and I've progressed to an almost vegan diet.

I don't need meat, so why should animals suffer for my selfish palate?

Honestly, not anymore. At first, I went absolutely mad when I saw someone else eating a cheeseburger. Now, I find cheeseburgers absolutely repulsive and wouldn't trade my Boca burgers for anything. (Boca is a very tasty brand of soymeat.)

  12. No

    12

Because i feel it is wrong to kill an animal for food when there are other options

Yes i have but i just think of something else.

  14. No I eat lotts of other foods besides vegetables

    I became a vegetarian at age 11

I love animals, the way meat industries treat animals is completely disgusting and inhumane. I cant even believe its legal to treat a living creature with such disrespect.Meat is also completely unhealthy! Ever see an overweight vegetarian walking around? I think not.....

The thought of placing a dead animal in my mouth makes me feel light headed, makes me gag.

  15. It just depends, there is no rules, you choose your diet. i eat fish, but no meat, but i eat meat every once and a while just to keep my protein level good. i became a vegitarian when i was 8, when i went to hawaii and saw them put the pig thingy in the pit.ya i have urges to eat meat, but then i just eat some!

  16. Are you only allowed to eat vegetables?

If an animal died for it, you cannot eat it. There are different types of vegetarianism, but I assuming you are talking about the most common type, lacto ovo.

What age did you become a vegetarian?

    12

Why did you want to become a vegetarian?

    Animal rights

Do you ever have the urge to eat meat?

I have very very very good self control. When I stopped,  I stopped and never look back. I get the occasional craving, but as I said before, I have exceptional self control and rarely give into even vegetarian cravings.

  17. I am vegetarian because I don't want to contribute to this.
