  1. There are "good vegetarians" and "bad vegetarians". If you monitor your protein intake and get it from a variety of foods, it is perfectly fine.

  2. Nah, I eat tons

  3. Probly not true, I mean meat contains alot of protien, but so many other foods. So I would imagine vegies are getting the recomended protien through other sources such as peanuts.

  4. Not really.  The average meat eater usually eats TOO much protein though.

  5. Where did you see that you need 200 g of protein!  Most people only need 45-55 grams a day.  And a veg diet can definitely supply that if you're eating whole grains, legumes or nuts, and soy.

  6. Some do. Some don't. The criteria is too general. A vegetarian diet can be heavy in protein and a meat diet may include protein sparingly if the person eats meat sparingly. There would need to be more details of the specific diet to be able to evaluate the protein comparison.

  7. Maybe, maybe not.    The average hamburger has 20g of protein.  However, a serving of lentils has 30g.

  8. Vegans should not worry about getting enough protein; if you eat a reasonably varied diet and ingest sufficient calories, you will undoubtedly get enough protein. Protein deficiency, or "kwashiorkor," is very rare in the U.S. and is usually diagnosed in people living in countries suffering from famine.

You need .45 grams of protein for every pound you weigh.  I doubt you weigh more than 400 pounds.  According to the amount of protein you claim you need you would have to be.
