  1. YOU DONT JUST THINK ABOUT GOING BACK TO EATING MEAT!!!!!!! if you were a proper vegetarien then you wouldnt think about. being a vegetarien is about the poor animals being slaughtered it doesnt benefit in any other way because meat is healthy for you so thats why people think whats the point of just eating vegetables and fruit THE POINT IS YOUR BENEFITTING ANIMALS THERE IS NO OTHER POINT!!!!!!!

THATS WHY YOU DONT DESERVE TO BE A VEGETARIAN IF YOUR EVEN THINKING OF GOING BACK YOURE A FAKE A WANNABE!!! now do you wanna be fair and keep the animals alive or do you wanna take their meat for your own selfish needs!?!?

  2. i do it cause i have no choice. meat will kill me...fish and chicken are ok, but beef pork etc...no so good for my bod.

  3. my coach was a very strict vegan, but over the past few years she has begun eating dairy again and even has has fish once in a while when she eats out.

  4. Youll have some irregularities in your digestive system.  But over time [hopefully not too much time] your body will remember and everything will be just fine.

Youll be changing your body chemistry also... so i would think you might notice other changes in your body.  Small stuff like the way things smell... including yourself. Maybe even the way familiar foods taste. I may be wrong about that.  *shrug*

  5. You will have to start off slow. Meat is harder on the system than fruits, veggies and grains. Don't let vegitarian friends bring you down if they give you a hard time or ask them to respect you decision.

It is good to eat meats. Vegitarians always claim to be healthier than meat eaters but that simply is not true. Many vegitarians still eat as much junk as meat eaters which cause many health problems. The only reason why vegitarians seam healthier is because most people don't get enough fruits and veggies. When compaired to people that do eat enough fruits and veggies and who still eat meat vegitarians fall short on the health scale.

There simply are things available in animal products that cannot be gotten from any other source. Like Taurine for example. Taurine is an organic acid that is the make up of ALL amino acids. It is in our heart, skeletal muscles, nervous system, white blood cells, and bile. In the bile it is enssential to process and digest oils and fat soluable nutrients.

As long as people eat meat in moderation and get enough fruits and veggies they will have a long AND happy life.

  6. no issues at all.i was a veg in my teens, gave it up in college,as i would have starved to death in the meat-oriented college dining hall!so,after 5 years of being meatless,i ate it at college and i was just fine.now,im a vegetarian again and prolly wont go back, but i f i did,i doubt it would make me sick or nething,it didnt last time.i dont kno what these people are talking about-i didnt gradually change-one day,i just got hungry at school and ate a burger.no problems.no digestive distress.nada.just grab a burger,u will be fine.a lot of stuff is in peoples heads.

  7. Serious answer!  You will probably experience some stomach distress, possibly gas and maybe even a little diahrea.  I would recommend starting very slowly to add meat back into your diet.  Using just a little in a veggie salad or in a rice/pasta/couscous dish.  I would also start with a mild fish, or chicken, since it seemed to have the least effect on me.  Add a little back every few days.  That way, you will know what causes you more problems.

To Drew C:  Not everyone becomes a vegetarian because they feel sorry for the animals.  Some of us do it for health reasons - to stay away from the hormones and antibiotics added to the animals feed.

  8. Meat is good! who cares about the animals, youre human be happy no one rounds us up and eats us.

but we should know when we are killing too much animals, because they are crucial too the earth

  9. What health issues are you having?  I always wondered why people were vegetarians.  People are omni....  our bodies need a well rounded diet.

I hope everything works out for you.

  10. I was a vegetarian for two months when I was eleven and it wasn't very healthy for me. It killed me to have to eat meat again. But the best thing to do is to dive right in. It may make you feel terrible, but the don't test the water, just jump.

(By the way, since then I've become a vegetarian again and stuck with it for a year and a half.)

  11. I'm not a vegetarian.  I just don't eat beef or pork or cheese.  I used to eat it all the time and I loved it.  But if I were to try to eat a cheeseburger now, I would vomit without a doubt.

It may take your body some time to readjust.  (After all, meat isn't easy on your digestive system.)  If you plan to start eating it again, I would start with the lighter meats with less fat (fish, poultry.)  And only eat small amounts of it at a time.

On the other hand, some people don't have any issues.

  12. spineless indeed

  13. Why are you going back?

If you go back on your choice,

not only will nobody take you

    seriously or respect you, you

    are hurting the message that

    veggies and vegan try to

    promote. People will see that

you can not stand the diet and

    therefor believe that they may

not be able cope either. These

are the people that tell me that

    the human body cannot live

    without meat.

If you need to try in order to eat

meat...then why eat meat? To fit in???

Who will respect you if you

    effectively say "I've been wrong

    for the past four years"

  14. My younger sister was a vegetarian for abot the same time when she went back to eating meat, she had an upset stomach, and puked a bit, but that was it, every person is different though. She has also gained a whole lot of weight since.

People shouldn't be making a big deal about you THINKING about turning back, at least you tried.

  15. Eating meat is healthy because it is part of the balanced diet chart you need things like fish & meat to be healthy you can't just rely on nuts & vegetables even though they are in the balanced food diet. Its called a balanced food diet because you need a little bit of everything even fatty foods.

  16. i stopped eating pork years ago and gradually stopped eating everything except for fish. i am pregnant now and in very small amounts added some chicken. i still don't eat beef or pork. the chicken did make my stomach hurt the first few times i had it though. i was craving a burger and stayed sick for about 3 days after eating it. so no beef for me.

  17. The biggest issue will be the hassle from the vege crowd.

Mikey and Drew are proving my point.

  18. hmmm...

You probably should ask an invertebrate, what its like to be spineless.

  19. Good answer, Sunibuni!  Any big change in the diet, and that's a -real- big one, is going to have some effects.

  20. What I would recommend is that if you're really a vegetarian now, go to your doctor for a check-up and ask to have base line blood tests done (your LDL, HDL, triglycerides, blood sugar levels, etc.) tested along with your blood pressure. See what shape you're currently in. Then when you go back to eating meat, after a couple of years when you need to go back for some issue, have your labs done again and see what happens. When you discover that you are ruining your health, you'll be able to get on Dr. Dean Ornish's program to reverse the damage done.

Or, you might consider reading the Spectrum diet, and getting on that in the first place. It's a good, balanced diet that is shown scientifically to benefit health, reverse heart disease, and help prevent diabetes. The nay sayers are right about eating junk food not being good for you, even if a vegetarian. Being on a good diet is key - one that doesn't contain animal products will promote health and longevity and help the environment to boot!
