Please answer is there a resteraunt chain that has a vegetarian menu?

I know I could order a salad just about anywhere.. but was hopping for something more.

I haven't been to a resteraunt in about 8 years and I want to go have something more than a salad.

  1. go to www.happycow.net  put in ywhere you live and it'll come up with a list of vegetarian/vegan restauraunts and stores.

  2. My website has a lot of chain restaurants and fast food places with vegan menu items. If you're simply looking for vegetarian dishes then any Asian or Indian restaurant should have something to accomodate you.

  3. I know that some food chains are very veggie friendly.  Pizza hut is safe for vegans, just leave off the cheese. Subway and Quiznos,  When in doubt, just ask.  They will more than likely accommodate you.  Just make sure that you are very friendly in your request, praise your food, and leave a great tip.  When in doubt, just tell them you are "allergic" to some things.  When restaurants hear "allergy" they are more than willing to accommodate. But I don't personally like to lie and never had to use that one yet.

  4. Almost every restaurant will have at least one vegetarian option, for example most have pasta or a carbohydrate based meal.   Depends where you're going really.. pizza/pasta if it's italian, vegetable chow mein if you go chinese.. etc.  Eating out is only really a problem if you're vegan.

  5. Almost every restaurant has a wide variety of vegetarian meals now. Look for veggie pastas like primaveras.  You can also ask them to exclude the meat from lots of dishes. For example the other day i asked for them to leave out the chicken from a chicken alfredo pasta dish.  It was really good.

  6. How are fries processed? They are just fried potato.

  7. umm get the BKveggie from burger king! yummm!!

  8. I am a vegetarian (and lactose-intolerant, and a salad-hater) and I can find something to eat just about anywhere.  Most restaurants have one vegetarian entree.  Those that don't are often more than happy to work with your requirements if you just ask.  For instance, even Outback, a steakhouse for crying out loud, has an entree of some kind of meat + grilled pineapple, bell peppers, etc. over rice and if you ask they'll leave off the meat and give you more of the veggies.  It's actually quite good.

Applebee's has a veggie burger that's not on the menu.

But those aren't really my style...I'll go there if I'm eating with a group and that's where everybody else wants to go.  But in general if I'm picking the restaurant, I will pick Indian, Thai, Japanese, Italian, Greek, or Mexican.  You can always find vegetarian items at these restaurants.

You don't really sound like the fast-food type, and neither am I, but for the record, Subway, Taco Bell, Fazoli's, Noodles&Company, Penn Station, and Blimpie's are all fairly veggie-friendly, and even Burger King has a veggie burger now.

  9. just order a pasta dish or fajitas or a sandwich or something and request they leave the meat off. or replace it with extra veggies or portabella mushrooms. most restaurants will accomodate you. i've never had any trouble, anyway.

applebee's does NOT have a veggie burger (maybe they used to or something? i've worked at one for two years, and we haven't served one since then anyway). ruby tuesday has a veggie burger, and chilis has a black bean burger. if you want that sort of thing.

breakfast places like perkins, ihop, dennys, etc. are good for vegetarians too. it's easy to get a filling meal of pancakes or egg scrambles and not miss the sausage or bacon or whatever they might normally put in it.

  10. well i'm a veg and have atleast a couple more options than a salad whereever i go to eat...

i think your issue is going to be more with a raw food, low sodium diet... that i don't think your going to find too much of anywhere...

you'd need a vegan, organic, raw food type restaurant... which would be much more rare
