Vegetarians?????????

i am christian, is it ok for me to be against animals being eatin, ya'no like going against gods word. or did he not want us to eat animals.

Jesus did the miracle of loaves and fishes, so they did eat animals.  I think it's completely up to you as far as what you choose to do.

It is completely ok for you to be vegetarian. There are dietary restrictions laid out in the Old Testament (don't mix meat and dairy, don't eat shellfish or pork, et cetera) but those were mostly for the sake of avoiding disease resulting from improperly cooked food.

In the New Testament (Romans 14:10) St. Paul writes, essentially, that it's not what goes into your mouth that matters, it's what comes out. That is, it is ok to eat anything you want (within moderation of course, otherwise that would be gluttony, which is considered a sin by many Christians) so long as you don't commit sins with your words.

God wouldn't hate you for not wanting animals to be killed. He wants us to survive. He wants us to follow the 10 commandments. If you do so, I don't think he cares what you eat.. in my case, I would think he probably wants you to be kosher, but being vegetarian means nearly everything IS Kosher, so give it a shot if you want to! It won't hurt, and if your not too sure about it try asking a member of your church... I'm going to be veggie (thanks 2 u and a couple other ppl) and its ok for u to do so...

Ok, in the beginning humans were vegans.  After the floods God said it was ok to eat animals, now I think that would be because everything else was destroyed.  There is nothing in the bible that says we HAVE to eat meat.  If there is a God, I am sure he is probably pretty happy with those of us who refuse to eat His animals that are being tortured daily just for us to eat them.  It says in the bible that God loves ALL creatures.  There are also many places in the bible that do say that animals have souls, just like humans do.  And I bet God is pretty ticked off about how humans are treating His creatures.  I do believe God will be happy with your decision to not eat meat:)
