  1. For some their logic is that if they eat a chicken breast or a crab leg or one fish that only one animal contributed to that piece of meat they're eating rather than having one burger which very well could have meat from 60 different cows in it. They think that it isn't that bad because only one animal died for them. This is a common misconception because more chickens are slaughtered each year than cows. This should be common sense because a cow is much bigger than a chicken or a fish. So this means that while the chicken and fish are in high demand more and more will be slaughtered. But the idea of only consuming one animal is much more appealing than lots of ground up ones mixed together.

Others continue to eat fish and chicken because they believe that they cannot get the needed nutrients by cutting all meat out of their diet. This is simply not true. Vegetarians and vegans have to be careful about monitoring their diets to make sure that they are consuming from all other areas of the food pyramid and most opt to take a multivitamin  each day as well. You may be surprised when you actually read all the vitamins and important nutrients like iron and protein you can get from vegetables, fruits, and nuts alone.

While others remain eating chicken or fish because if they ever change back to eating other meat they want it to be easy. When the body lacks meat consumption the enzymes to digest meat will no longer be active in the body. This is why you hear horror stories of vegetarians becoming horribly sick for hours because their vegetable soup was stirred with the same spoon the stirred the beef or chicken based soup. Many who do it for this reason only eat very small portions or may eat a soup with chicken or beef stock.

But there are also those people that see that more people are becoming vegetarian each day and think that it would be trendy of them to join in but can't make the full commitment. While this may impress meat eaters who claim they could "never go veg" it only angers or annoys true vegetarians. A great comparison for these people is a girl who claims that her eyes are green while it is clear to see that they are really brown. Or a woman who dyes her black hair blond but claims it's natural. These are things that would annoy an actual green eyed girl or blond woman. It is like claiming to be something for the status symbol rather than actually being that way.

Going vegetarian is not as hard of a task as many people believe it to be. And if it really is hard for you then you simply weren't meant to be vegetarian. It is a lifestyle that is not meant for everyone so there is no need to pretend if you truly aren't.
