  1. from some woman who shall remain nameless here on Y&A - no did not want to hurt her - just blocked her & her mean emails.

  2. Im not a vegetarian. But I dont get why you think we are "hurting animals for our own food." Its called the food chain. You don't feel sorry for an ant when it gets eaten by a spider do you. Humans are made to eat meat. And I think vegetarians are ruder to meat eaters rather than Vise Versa. They wont leave us alone about how we should stop eating meat. You ain't gunna change the world because you are a vegetarian. We will still eat meat. They may say one person can change the world. Well thats bullshit. One person can not change this world. Its practicly impossible to change the world period. So just give it up and eat meat like a normal person.

  3. My grandmother told me "It's a stage, you'll grow out of it." This was nearly a decade ago. It's still not over, I still didn't grow out of it, it wasn't a teenage phase. It was hurtful to have her shut herself off completely from everything I believed in - it's like me saying her religious beliefs, or her basic morals, are a stage that she'll just get over eventually. I pray for the sake of humanity that NONE of us can just "grow up" and "get over" our basic moral values, ever.

  4. so far i have never faced that situation. we are vegetarians since generations.of course now few of our younger lot have become non vegetarians. but we don't have any problems regarding our desiring to be veg or non veg.

  5. "I thought vegetarians were thin."

It didn't bother me. I thought it was funny. Besides, the person who said it was fatter than me.

  6. Okay, here goes; I walked into my friend's house to spend the night, and this is her dad talking with me; it was upon entering her house that this happened:

-Hey, Jill, so I heard you're a vegetarian.

-Yeah, it's been really neat so far...

-Well, you know that's really bad for you and that we're made to eat meat?

-HUH?!? No, actually we're made more like herbivo--

-No, you're wrong; we're supposed to eat meat.  We're built like cheetahs and stuff, and you could get sick of malnutrition or something.  I watched this thing about it, and we're built like dogs 'cause we can digest it.

-Well, actually we don't digest it very well, and we're built more like chimpanzees and other primates (you know, we do look a little more like them than dogs or something).  The average person dies with about 10 pounds of undigested meat in the intestines, and since I stopped eating it, I've felt better than I've ev--

-No, well I couldn't give up my ribs and steak, and I think we're supposed to eat it 'cause we should.

It went on like this for a long time until I was so mad that my friend had to drag me out of the room (not literally, lol).  He was just so stupid I couldn't argue with him.  Yes, I felt like hurting him for hurting animals and coming on to me with such a stupid proposition.

But, you can't argue with a fool....

  7. I think that it would take an extremely bad comment to top those that are posed my way.  IE. You are a murderer, you are a torturer, you eat rotten flesh.

  8. I have to say i haven't had a rude reaction as yet....only the question ' do you have smelly farts', which wasn't really punch worthy.....then again....I'M GONNA CALL THEM UP RIGHT NOW!! ;-)

  9. My daddy said "You are not going to be a vegetarian anymore" lol now i only rarely chicken, and he cant do nothing bout it lol

  10. " your a vegetarian!? I would be able to live without meat!" No i didn't. i don't care what others think of me, you can't make everyone happy.

  11. i think the rudest thing was from my mother.....she totally spazed on me like it was the bigest mistake ever, and now she buys mor emeant than ever before just to try and break me to eat meat again, but, its not gonna happen

i  dont hate her though, i love my mom but, its just sometimes she can be a ditz

    =0)

  12. I always get the standard lecture on how I'm depriving myself of protein and the taste of a good steak, blah blah blah.  I dont get angry, ignorance is curable.

  13. I usually abandon friends who become vegetarians.  I get tired of the rhetoric really fast.  If you want to be a vegetarian, fine, but don't expect me to be and don't give me a lot of c**p about it.  Since I can't easily disown my cousin or sister, I am pleasant and make sure that the vegetables and stuff I serve at Thanksgiving includes a selection for them. Both clearly have health problems as a result of lack of protein (which can be corrected with nonmeat sources), but it's their health, not mine.

  14. "Ew. But how??!?!!? Meat is just so good and juicy."

  15. '"You're not a vegetarian, you eat fish and chicken"'

  16. Nothing rude. Some try to think of something witty or funny, but usually they do not succeed.  Most people these days don't really care because they know at least a handful of other people who are also vegan/vegetarian.
