Question:

Veggies only...??

Ok I want to lose just 8-10 for my swim suit. Can I lose that by July 4th? I thought I'd only eat veggies...

I want to look good for the BF and I am sooo nervous.

  1. Keep in mind that he's not going to notice how you look if you're passed out from not eating right.

    eight lbs in eight days is a bit fast only because you'll probably gain the weight back within a week or less but it's doable. cut back on your portions, eat chicken or fish for your protein and steam your vegies or eat them raw. No butter, sauces or dressings and only fat free dairy products. If you don't eat any protein your metabolism will slow down and you won't lose as much weight if any. You can eat vegetarian proteins but they are more fattening than lean chicken or fish.

    One half baked boneless, skinless chicken breast, 1/3 c brown rice and a good sized serving of steamed green beans or brocolli would be your perfect dinner, a large green salad with tuna canned in water for lunch and whatever you do, don't skip breakfast. That's what gets your metabolism going.

    And don't forget to exercise. If you can make yourself get up every morning, eat your low fat breakfast and spend a half hour exercising; go to the gym, bycycle or find an early morning workout on tv and follow along. Just anything to get your metabolism going.

    You'll lose the weight. look great and even better you'll feel great. Don't try to fast or cut out all protein, you'll be too sick to enjoy the 4th.

    Oh, and losing water doesn't accomplish much because you gain it back as soon as you drink a couple glasses of water but if you make a drink with a T of lemon juice a T of cranberry juice in a glass of water and drink it every morning it helps you get rid of  water weight.

  2. You need to do a combination of eating well and exercise. Eating loads of veggies is good, but you also need protein, and some complex carbs for energy. Fat free yogourt, fruit, lean meats are all good to incorporate into your daily meal plans. 30 to 60 minutes of exercise a day will help to boost your metabolsim and burn more calories. Try walking, bike riding, jogging, running up and down stairs, anything to get your heart rate up.

  3. Eating only vegetables is not healthy.  You need to have a balanced diet.  A balanced diet doesn't need to include animal products, but has to have more than veggies.

    Eating fortified breakfast cereal with soy milk and a vegetarian multi vitamin is a good start.

    Soy yogurt, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and nuts are all great options.  Pure peanut butter is great.  Vegetable protein is good and can be purchased in the form of fake ground beef.  You can use that to replace beef in almost any recipe.

    There are veggie burgers and chick'n nuggets available at a lot of grocery stores.

    With the right balanced diet and plenty of physical activity, you should lost that weight no problem.

One should never want to lose weight to look good for someone else....your real beauty is reflected in how you view and live your life....if you live as if each moment is a gift and could be gone in a heartbeat your vibe will be like a magnet to others....To get to a certain size by a certain time period will not be a healthy choice.....and it won't stay off without much heartache and struggle..Why not have a life style change and decide to not care about the scale or you skinny jeans and adopt a new way of exercising because you can not because you have to....eating only the amount of healthy fruits...veggies...brown rice...beans....seeds and nuts.....fish or tofu options that you need to be healthy....I'd say eat 6 little meals daily not counting calories but also not adding anything to your foods like butter or sauces etc.....

    Eating just veggies will get you thin but you risk your hair falling out...your skin looking sallow...and binging gaining all the weight you lose and more.....

  5. Cut  back on the carbs and switch to whole grain only for those carbs you eat.
