  1. Meat is healthy and unhealthy.   It is like, if you dropped an apple in the dirt and it was covered in filth, would you eat it?   Of course not.   The apple would be healthy (vitamin B12 in meat and protein) but all of the filth would be bad (cholesteral, saturated fat, hormones, etc.)

So yes, there is good stuff in meat.   But also a lot of bad stuff and the same with dairy.   Just stop eating it for a few weeks and live on whole plants and your body will slim down, you will feel vibrant and alive, and it is cheaper as well.   And you will know no animals are dying because of you.

  2. Well, as far as its effects on my family and their health, I do think that meat, dairy and eggs are very unhealthy.

My family is largely lactose intolerant - they suffer from horrible stomach cramps, gas and overall discomfort when consuming dairy. I used to as well - then I turned vegan and I'm great.

My older family members are few and far between. They don't live much past 65 and I think a meat-heavy diet is to blame. Heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol are all prominent in my family...and humans don't get high cholesterol from eating too many veggies.

That's just my reality. I'm sure some people do just fine with meat and dairy in their diets. I know I don't and that's why I'm vegan.

  3. Meat is not unhealthy. It is a part of many healthy well balanced diets.

Over indulgence of meat is the cause, not the meat itself.

Eggs and dairy are also part of a healthy diet.

As many vegetarians accuse the meat industry relying on "propaganda" and scare tactics, so do pro vegetarian companies who would like a slice of the food industry pie. Food is big business and it pays for vegetarian companies to demonise meat so as to attract more consumers to their line of foods. It is up to the individual to think and decide for himself.

  4. eggs and dairy r fine

  5. It isn't about health, it's about the environmental impact of factory farming.  But I can say that one of the biggest stories in the news today was Koreans protesting the immigration of U.S. beef and dairy because is it so far below their standards in terms of additives, hormones, and chemicals.

Something to think about while that meat is rotting in your colon.
