Question:

Vehicle Inspection, pulled over?

I got pulled over a while ago, paid the $100 fine and requested a court hearing. I went to the hearing and my Jeep was still not inspected. The judge gave me 2 more weeks. Now Monday I have to go back to court. It has been an ******* episode with this Jeep. Now I need more work on it. I am not sure I can get it done by Monday. What will the judge do?

I am in PA.

  1. Am not sure of what happened here -- you recently had it inspected and something didn't pass - and that's the "more work" that needs to be done before it can be re-inspected? And you can't get all that done by Monday?

OR - if you haven't yet had your car inspected, and get it inspected tomorrow or Saturday, it will get a rejection sticker if it doesn't pass. Then you should have a week or whatever they allow in PA to get it fixed and reinspected.

I would think the judge would note that you have been giving all due diligence to getting the problem(s) fixed and making sure an unsafe car isn't going to be on the road any longer than it has to be. Good luck!

  2. As long as you are being proactive and can prove that, the judge should give youa o continuance to get your jeep squared away and pass inspection.
