  1. You should've called 911 right away. It's good that you have there plate #. Your Ins. co. will have to tell you how to handle it now. Good Luck

  2. honestly this is pretty pointless for you to go through the insurance company. The damage (ding) is not significant enough to pay your deductible just to get it fixed. Unfortunatly you already drove the car away from the scene and it's too late to do anything about it now. Basically you will have to pay for this out of pocket. What you should have done was call the police and make a report. Once you file a report, then you can drive your car away. Your next step would have been to take this person to small claims court and get the money owed to fix the car.

  3. Forget the insurance co. , just report it to the P.D.

  4. This issue isn't one that your insurance will handle.  The damage is likely less then your deductible anyway, and neither car was moving when the damage occurred.  However, the driver of the other car is liable for the damage to your vehicle.  If you can find out who the person is you can take him/her to small claims court.

  5. You should file a police report ASAP and then let your insurance company handle the matter

  6. Umm..your insurance company didn't ask for the plate number??

Just go to the nearest police department and tell them what happened and give them the plate number.  End of story..if the other drive doesn't have insurance, then good luck trying to get paid.  If he does, then you're in luck.  Either way you need to notify the authorities.  And if your insurance company didn't ask for the plate number, you need a new provider.
