Hi, we need to buy a bigger car to fit my 5 year old, my 1 year old and a new born due in January.

We're thinking of getting a booster for my 5 year old, so that will be 2 car seats for the younger ones.

Can anyone suggest a good family vehicle not too expensive?

  1. Believe it or not I can get all of those into a 1995 Nissan Altima Not that you'd want such an old car, but the idea is don't discount smaller sedans! Take all the seats with you when you shop for cars. The way gas prices are going you do not want to get any bigger a vehicle than you need!

My son is 3 and a half but over 3 feet tall and over 36 pounds so he can use a booster seat. His twin sister still needs a regular car seat and sometimes we take a neighbor's child in her booster seat or our other car seat. If one child is in a booster seat it will work.

  2. Jeep is your best bet.  affordable and safe.

  3. Any kind of mini van or suv should suffice.

  4. My sister had a jeep liberty that will fit three child restraints easily maybe you should check one out

  5. anything with a third row seat preferably a minivan as they are easier to get in and out of

if you can't buy new go a year or two used Dodge is making killer deals to get anything off their lot that isn't a unique car (aka the new Challenger, A Viper, or any SRT model)

DON'T GET THE LIBERTY IT IS TWO SMALL

  6. Honda Accord

  7. Two wonderful young-family vehicles are the Kia Rondo and Mazda Mazda5. The Mazda is sportier, better looking, but more expensive (around 20k). The Rondo is slightly cheaper. The Mazda has sliding rear doors, the Rondo has traditional rear doors. But I recommend checking them out. http://www.kia.com http://www.mazdausa.com

  8. well assuming you would want something fuel efficient, dodge has a new crossover the journey, and you get $2.99 gas and it get 22-25 mpg.  a chevy impala has a huge backseat that will definatly have room for the three plus a huge trunk for strollers.  hyundai santa fe is a suprisingly popular and hyundais are pretty good cars(my sister has a 2004 elantra with 85000 miles and beats the h**l out of it and it still runs strong) not to mention the hyundai still get 24 mpg. the last thing i can think of is a gmc acadia/saturn outlook.  im not sure on your budget but the gmc starts at 32000, if thats too much you can definatly get a 1 yr old certified saturn outlook for much less.

  9. I had a Chevy Blazer, with the same senerio, put the booster in the middle, and car seat on the side, baby on passenger side, works til they get bigger, now we are in a Yukon,

  10. almost all new small cars and SUVs are set up with 2/3 seating but unless the car seat you put in the center is smaller than the other 2 you cannot fit 3 across.

look at the new Honda CR-V.

    the Kia Rondo
