Question:

Vekoma Boomerang or SLC?

At many amusement parks across the world there are 2 types of Vekoma Rides. A Boomerang type roller coaster which goes 116 feet high, 47 mph, and upside down 3 times. Then the ride goes backwards. The other vekoma is an SLC which is an inverted roller coaster that goes up 109 feet, goes down at 49 mph and goes upside down 5 times. Both rides are very unpopular and rough. I just wanted to know which one do you think is better. A Boomerang or an SLC. Then rate it on a scale from 1 to 10 and tell the name and park it is at.

For Example: Boomerang @ Knotts Berry Farm. 3/10 Or Kong @ Six flags Discovery Kingdom. 5/10.

  1. Well, does a Giant Inverted Boomerang count?  ;)

    Example:

Deja Vu (used to be at SFGAm - now is Aftershock at Silverwood)

I would rate it a 6 out of 10.  A very fun ride, yet kinda rough.  (true to nearly all Vekoma's)

Ok, between the normal boomerang and SLC, I would probably choose the SLC, because the layout is actually pretty impressive!  :)

Thunderhawk (was at the now defunct Geauga Lake - now at Michigan's Adventure)

I would rate this 4 out of 10, because even though the layout and pace are good, it is still ROUGH AS HECK!!!  It is apparently one of the more smooth SLC's out there as well....
