  1. No harm in trying to make your smile beautiful with the help of modern dentistry. Not all ppl are born with or have teeth in perfect shape/symmetry. Porcelain veneers done by trained cosmetic dentist will see you in enhanced self esteem and confidence. On the cons side, they are expensive and bring an initial harm (shaving 0.5-0.8mm) to your teeth eventually to be covered with veneers. Such treatments are cheap abroad.

  2. Check with your dentist to find out all of your options regarding getting that brand new beautiful smile.  He may have less expensive and effective options for you to consider.  And porcelain veneers shouldn't be used in certain instances - read further down.

    About porcelain veneers:

"Porcelain veneers are a rapid, aesthetic, and safe way to correct unattractive front teeth. Porcelain veneers correct heavy permanent stains, teeth that are crooked, disproportionate, small (with spaces), and structurally damaged. Porcelain veneers are shells of ceramic material that can be chemically bonded to tooth structure."

    ADVANTAGES:

Porcelain veneers create a very life-like tooth appearance

    Porcelain veneers resist staining

    DISADVANTAGES:

Porcelain veneers have potential to break or come off.

Having porcelain veneers placed is not a reversible process.

When aren't porcelain veneers an appropriate treatment?

Porcelain veneers cannot be placed on unhealthy teeth or teeth involved with gum disease

Placing a porcelain veneer on a tooth will not provide a strengthening effect

Porcelain veneers must be bonded to tooth enamel - some teeth may have little or no enamel remaining on their front side. These teeth do not make good candidates for porcelain veneers

Porcelain veneers are not a good choice for people who clench and grind their teeth (because this can chip or break veneers)

Additional note:  because porcelain veneers is primarily a cosmetic measure, the costs may not be covered under typical dental insurance policies. Check with your dental insurance carrier to be sure.

  3. Please don't. Veneers just ruin your teeth. What don't you like about your teeth? There must be another way of getting "a more beautiful smile" without resorting to veneers.

  4. I have 8 porcelain veneers and although they were costly I would 100% recommend them to anybody.  As far as Pro's go I would say that they give you an amazing perfect white smile, what more of a pro could you need, your self confindence will go through the roof and you will be smiling ALL the time causing you to look more approchable, young and happy. I take care of mine excatly like I took care of my own teeth with regular brushing and flossing. The color of the teeth doesnt fade either so its no more white strips or molds. Mine look completly natural and most ppl that havent seen me for awhile dont notice whats different but all seem to compliment me on looking great and seeming happy. The cons would have to be the price - I paid around 950 per tooth. And since I am not a huge fan of the dentist, getting a million little freezing needles in the front of my gums and in between my teeth wasnt the best feeling. Like I said before i think that the pros definalty out weight the cons!

  5. the best smile is the natural one

but if you want to change it as necessary veneers is not the way it will change his color in the time so the porcelain is peter but its cost more but even in the porcelain their are differences in the metal the best is the Seminole metals because the Nobel metals haven't the ligatures between the porcelain and the metal and the base metals will change the porcelain color with here oxidants

the best smil in acceptable cost is the porcelain at the Seminole metals

  6. Try whitening them first. Porcelain covers and veneers are the same thing so I don't know what you are asking. If you can't get the smile you want by whitening then try the veneers. Just remember that it is a permanent alteration of your teeth and will need to be maintained throughout your life. It also is expensive, approximately 1500.00 per tooth.

  7. ahhh i have Veneers on my two front teeth. i broke them just before 3ed grade. since then (I'm 26 now) I have had to replace them each twice (about 800 each time) and one of then a third. Currently, because my last dentist was not very good, they are two different colors! Did I mention they are in the front? I'm not really sure why you would want to do this.
