  1. Venezuela has done nothing to the US.  We don't break off diplomatic relations with a country simply because it's leader has a big mouth and has called our leader names.  Ultimately it's in the best interests of both countries to maintain relations.

  2. I'm sure many Venezuelans ask the same question about the USA, especially since the US-backed coup which briefly overthrew Chavez. Since Bush has managed to insult and threaten both Putin and Chavez, wouldn't it just be p**s funny if both of them decided to not sell oil to the USA anymore?

  3. We don't have to be best buddies with a country to have diplomatic relations with it.

  4. diplomatic relations is what civilized countries try to have.  OF course if we want to act like people who prefer to beat their chests and drag our females by their hair and carry clubs, and shout them bad us good kill kill kill, then diplomacy is not something you want to practice.

YOU dont have to be in total agreement with countries to have diplomatic relations. In fact diplomatic relations keeps bad things from happening or a bad situation from getting worse.
