Question:

Venezuela travel tips...?

I have read a lot about the conditions for travelling in Venezuela as being dangerous. How safe is it, in and around Caracas? Also, are there airlines to get to Caracas from other South American countries that are reasonable? It looks like that most flights go through Miami.

  1. Only use your common sense, don't hang out so much in the west side of the city, when you are,  don't look nervious or clueless, don't wear yellow gold, diamonds, or anything that  screams ¨I have a lot of money! I'm your perfect victim¨, be carefull with digital cameras, etc, they are valuable for thiefs here also. Be careful with what kind of taxis you take, take only the white ones with yellow plates, if you are in a car specially on traffic or in a traffic light always go with your windows up! If you are gonna use a cell phone during your stay usea a cheap one preferably, unless you are gonna be in a executive work zone, like Altamira, etc and during the day.

Just act simple, nice and don't give bad looks to people!

We use to be really nice to tourists!

    Good Luck

  2. It's not so dangerous. It's just as a "rich" tourist with out a clue you will feel vulnerable. Are you American? Do you speak Spanish? Are you travelling alone? I am English and have travelled there quite alot by bus, taxi and plane. If you can relax and trust a little the people are very good natured and friendly. More so than down your street I bet. But there are always bad people who don't mind who they hurt.

  3. dun forget piere cardin wonder bra along

  4. Airlines from other latin american countries: LACSA, Lan Chile, Avianca, Aero Peru, Santa Barbara, Lufthansa, KLM. Depending where you are departing from. It is dangerous, yes... its important to go accompanied by a local, Hire a personal guide, using a reputable traveling agency, if you know nobody there. Most airlines do travel to Caracas from Miami. The most popular from Miami are American, Lan Chile, Santa Barbara.

  5. I can't answer you the airlines thing.. but i can assure you that when you get to Venezuela.. be with precaussion!! I will recommend you not to get into Sabana Grande.. El Centro.. Petare.. or into ''barrios'' xD they hate Americans so bad.. or anyone who speaks english.. so try to stay simple.. If you are going here what is your purpose? if it's shopping (which I doubt) try the Sambil Mall, Plaza Las Americas, and el Tolon.. in safe places... Be carefull anywhere you are.. it's kind of hoy here with the robs and stuff.. well.. I hope you the best.. Hope you enjoy!!
