Lionel Messi – 8
The Argentinean star and the best player in the world featured in a striker’s role for the Argentinean team after a long time. While playing under http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Batista-c7379 played him
in an attacking midfield role where he suited the least. While playing under Sergio Batista, Lionel Messi played as a play maker and even though he was quite familiar with the “false 9” position, he couldn’t really adapt well to the play making role under
the Argentinean boss. He helped the strikers with a lot of wonderful through balls but since he was drifted away from the goal, he rarely tried his luck on goal and that is the reason why he rarely found the back of the net. It was hard for him to score goals
for the Argentinean team and his assists were also becoming less in number due to fewer players who could convert. While playing under Sabella, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 featured in a striker’s role and he partnered up with the Real Madrid star Gonzalo Higuain. Messi had
a phenomenal game for the Argentinean side and he was at the end of everything creative. He was the one who helped the Argentineans score a goal as his corner kick found Nicoals Otamendi at the near post and he headed the ball in and found the back of the
net. Lionel Messi kept on trying his luck on goal timelessly but the Venezuelan goalkeeper was on his toes every time Messi took his shot on goal. He even created an outstanding opportunity when he found Gonzalo Higuain inside the box and the Real Madrid star
only managed to hit the cross bar and couldn’t find the back of the net. The 4-4-2 formation worked perfectly for Lionel Messi who proved the fact that he is definitely one of the best players in the history of the game.
Gonzalo Higuain – 7
The Argentinean star and the Real Madrid striker still has a long way to go. Even though he has impressed in the past few seasons and he is the best striker available to Argentina besides Sergio Aguero, there is no doubt that he still lacks the final touch
in front of the goal. He had a fair game against Venezuela and but he was quite unlucky when it came down to finding the back of the net. Higuain still has to prove a lot to the Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho as the Frenchman http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Karim-Benzema-c20350 find the back of
the net more than him. Higuain had a good game for the Argentinean side. He had two fair opportunities to find the back of the net and he also managed to hit the cross bar in one of them. Lionel Messi’s lobbed pass found him inside the 18 6 yard box and he
tried to lob the ball over the goalkeeper from an unusual angle. The ball seemed to be finding the back of the net but it struck the cross bar and Argentina were robbed from a great goal scoring opportunity. Overall, he had a good game for the national team
and he fitted in perfectly alongside Lionel Messi.
