http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gabriel-Cichero-c14297 – 6
Gabriel Cichero’s first half performance was actually good. While the Argentineans were trying to take the lead early into the game, Cichero denied them the opportunities to threaten the Venezuelan goal. He had a good first half but as the Argentineans craved for goals in the second half, he simply couldn’t help the team in the attack. Many expected him to move up the flank during the game to add an extra man up front in order to find the back of the net. However, with the Argentineans being constant threat to the Venezuelan defence line, it was hard for him to cope up with both the departments and he pinned himself at the back to help his team in not conceding goals.
Tomas http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eduardo-c12034 Rincon – 6.5
He played as a defensive midfielder for most of the game. Some of his tackles were important and his ability to get rid of the ball and pass it towards his teammates was phenomenal. Despite playing in more of a defensive role, he was often found making a run forward to add an extra man in the attack. Even though he went forward to help his side find the back of the net, he couldn’t really score a goal. He got a few opportunities in front of goal but his poor finishing ability did not allow him to celebrate in Kolkata, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/India-c750.
Arles Flores – 5.5
Arles Flores was the centre midfielder for the Venezuelan team. It was hard for him to cope up against a two man midfield which was being fielded by the new Argentinean coach Alejandro Sabella. While playing against Lucho Gonzalez and the former Argentinean captain http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 often fell back to add an extra man into the centre of the pitch; therefore, Flores had little chance to impress with the ball not at his feet. Despite being silent for most of the game, he was able to provide the team with a few perfectly threaded through balls but they simply couldn’t take advantage of it.
Miku – 6.5
Miku played as a striker for the Venezuelans. It was hard for him to get past the Argentinean defence who looked to be stronger than the one fielded by the former coach http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Miku-c25758 to capitalize in the final third. It was not entirely his fault that he had a poor game; in fact, there was almost no service from the midfield. He tried to get past the Argentinean defence line through off the ball runs but he was caught or the ball was perfectly disrupted and his supply was cut for most of the game.
