  1. Murano -  Burano

  2. I come from to venice...the more attaction islands of venice are murano(very famous for beautiful glassworks),burano and torcello, that was the littlest one,but is very famous for its cathedral...

  3. I live near Venice.

I advise S. Giorgio Maggiore becouse you can look the Tintoretto's pictures.

If you go to Venice, You will go here: http://www.vni.it/eng/pagina4.htm

  4. There are boats you can buy a ticket on to get to the two other smaller islands

  5. There are over 160 islands in Venice.  The main group are all connected by brisges.

By boat you can get to

    Lido,

    Guidecca,

    S. Giorgio Maggiore

    Murano,

    Torcello,

    Isola di S Michele,

    Secca Fisola.

  6. Leave Murano alone.... too mane "glass sharks" preying on tourists. Instead take your camera to Burano and shoot to your hearts content. Photograph the houses. They are painted in lively colors. Take photos of the fishing boats and their nets set to dry on the lawns.

Go to the "Cimitero di San Michele", Venice's cemetery and take a long look at Venice's recent past. the cemetery was created by a Napoleonic decree - Napoleon basically had all of the small "mom & pop" cemetaeries taken out of the city and all housed on one island. You won't be dissapointed.

Both of these islands can be reacehd by vaporetto from behind the main hospital.

  7. Try Murano Borano..

can see lace and glass works..

  8. you an go to murano, a small island (10min with the boat) where there are lot of fabric of glass
